We took a wine tour through Lush Limo for our anniversary in October. We stopped at all the bigger name places where the wine is overshadowed by the fancy decor and pretentious setting. I told our driver I was looking for something more laid back and easy-going and he said immediately, "I have the perfect place for you!" AND YES HE DID! I knew as soon as we got out of the car that Kiamie is my kind of place. The guys greet you like a person, not a commodity. They talk to you like a person, not a potential sucker. They explain their wine like they actually enjoy drinking it, not just selling it. I sat on the patio in the perfect sunny spot and ate snacks and drank wine. I drank wine and played the dog. I drank wine and fed the goat. It was the perfect spot to have a drink and turn off time. When the tasting was over I asked the guys to give me the hard sell that you usually get at every other winery. The response was perfect. . . "You give us some money we send you some wine." SOLD. I signed up on the spot. I can't wait to go back and drink at "my club". I know it's going to be perfect every time because their people make the difference. Well done Kiamie! Keep it casual!

This is a great hidden gem. The owner, Greg, is a super nice guy and totally down to earth. The wines were delicious and the place was not pretentious. It is definitely a must stop on your trip. Thank you for all your recommendations and the good conversation.

One of our favorite wineries in Paso. Winemaker is nearly always in the Tasting Room pouring and is always friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a small and rustic place, but it has a large outdoor area which is great for picnics or just enjoying the weather. Try the Unlocked (it’s our favorite) and make sure to say hi to Goat and the llama.

Blink and you miss this hidden gem! I’m so glad we stopped to enjoy. The staff is amazing and very personable. If you’re expecting or want fancy don’t come here. It’s like stopping by your best friends house for a new wine. It was refreshing and a perfect ending to our day. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet the official greeters (their super nice dogs) and maybe even catch a glimpse and a few pics their llama.

Having just visited one of the larger, fancier and somewhat sterile wineries we were encouraged to visit Kiamie by our very knowledgeable UberWine driver. What a great environment, quaint, friendly and an excellent place to enjoy a picnic. Sitting in the garden watching humming birds feed with some very good wine and a fun host was one of the highlights of our trip to Paso Robles.
