Was not happy with the people at daou the last 2 times we went. Very rude and the employees there did not want to help us what so ever. As we walked out there were 2 other couples complaining about the same thing. I would never recommend this place.

I have been to many many wine tasting operations in many many different vinicultural areas, but this one is the BEST! Located high up above the valley the views are to die for and facility is beautiful. You are instantly transported to Tuscany. The wines are in a category of their own and everything the winery does is in support... More

Been to enough California wineries now to think this was a bit of a factory experience; knowledgeable server who knew about the wine and family that started the vineyard but little about production; no tour of the facility; just tasting which is held in nice bar area with tables/chairs around for those choosing to dine as well. Got to go... More

Delicious wines and lunch enjoyed on this hilltop location with incredible views. We spent an afternoon relaxing and enjoying the ambiance. Excellent service from our waiter Alejandro. 😀

What a gem. Did the upscale wine tasting and was not disappointed. The view is one of the best in paso. My only complaint is since when are there reservations for wine tasting?

Like the title says, go for the view. There is better, and cheaper, wine to be had in the area. But if you're looking for a spot to enjoy a picnic lunch with the best view of the Paso hills, this is it.

Daou is a great comparison as to the differences between Napa and Paso wineries -- Paso wineries seem to be located up higher and have stunning views, while Napa is down in the valley floor. Don't get me wrong, both locations are fantastic and we like both -- probably Napa wines a bit more... Daou has a wonderful location and... More

We arrived at this vineyard on Hidden Mountain Road and it was well worth the short drive from downtown skipping all the mainstream wine tasting venues. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah were delicious. Would happily buy a crate load of bottles if we lived in the US! Definitely recommend if you want interesting history and stories behind the wines, wonderful... More

This is a relatively young vineyard that is family owned. The wine tasting experience is lovely, we were hosted by the daughter of the owner which was a lovely touch. The wines were great, we went for the estate tasting ($45) samples as opposed to the reserve ($30). We also had a cheese plate as they provide great food options.... More

Spectacular location, good but not exceptional wines, marketed at very premium prices... It depends on what you want...
