We are an ultra-small production winery using all estate fruit. Our west side Paso Robles site is one of the most tucked-away, lovely places in Paso Robles. The winery sits just on the edge of the vineyard and boasts a lovely shaded area for you to enjoy your picnic. Call for an appointment to taste our beautiful wine - a total of 600 cases a year. Distant views of the Santa Lucia Mountains, a premier vineyard, and an array of hand-crafted wine make Starr Ranch a 'must' stop on your visit to Paso Robles.

We are so glad we turned up that long driveway to visit Starr Ranch! We were the only people on site, and it was just unbelievably gorgeous! The owner was our tour guide and wine pourer. The wines were very good. She let us hang out for awhile and enjoy her beautiful grounds. It was very calming, peaceful, and relaxing!... More

Starr Ranch tasting room is operated by the owner, Judy. She is so full of charm and character, that it is a pleasure to spend time with her with or without wine! However, her wine is excellent and I think of real value. The blends are all interesting and very drinkable now and will only get better with a few... More

This review is for the sister winery, Deodoro Cellars, sharing space with Starr Ranch. They are in the same tasting room, and the owner Bob was the one pouring the wine. I have tasted at many of the wineries in Paso, and this winery stands among the best. I had promised myself that I would not be joining any more... More

Our friendly local wine and cheese store/tasting room, California Wine and Cheese in Monrovia, CA recommended Starr Ranch Vineyard and Winery to us when we were planning our first trip to Paso Robles about four years ago. We were enchanted by owner Judy Starr, and have visited each year on our annual Memorial Day trek to Paso from the LA... More

Judy Starr and "Beaker" Bob are truly fantastic people and they make great wine. Wonderful setting off the beaten path makes it even better.

We were delighted to discover Starr Ranch during a summer visit in 2012. Not only are the owner and winemaker great people, but we genuinely liked everything we tasted, which is the first and only time this has happened in all our wine trips through Paso, Napa, Santa Ynez, Amador and Tuscany. The cab, syrah and marriage (a cab/merlot blend)... More

We had such fun with the owner and her winemaker. The setting was in the barn with her barrels. They even did a barrel tasing for us. Its a very small vineyard and they only make small amounts, but the wines were very good. It wasn't commercialized and we really appreciated that. I highly recommend a visit to this vineyard...
