We had a wonderful tasting here. The tasting room is full of barrels and that wonderful aroma from a barrel room. The wines are excellent and the barrel sample definitely made us want to return to buy some of when it is released. Steve was fun to talk to and informative about his wines and the history of his winery. The whole tasting room staff is pleasant and knowledgeable.

Always wonderful! Visited many times and their reds are the best. Small family run tasting room with friendly personal service without pomposity. Ensemble, my favorite, is their Meritage style wine. Reserve Cabernets are long lasting and I always like the surprise of their Improv. They are a great value for premium wines in Paso Robles.

We stopped at Ecluse as part of a tour with Wine Wrangler. This is a smaller winery and we got to meet the owner Steve Lock. Steve walked us through the production areas of the winery and explained their wine making process to us. He stayed through the tasting and explained the wines and the winery in general. We really enjoyed the wines, especially the Blind Dog and Improv.

My wife and I joined our friends from San Diego last September who have been going to Paso regularly for over a decade. I've had some great wines before but am by no means a "wine snob". Of all the wineries/vineyards we visited that weekend, Ecluse was by far the standout, not just in terms of quality of the product, but in the approachableness of the staff and the experience. The terrace was picturesque.

We visited Ecluse over the Christmas/New Year holiday & we LOVED it! The wines are all VERY good & reasonably priced. The staff was really friendly. Morgan, who helped us was GREAT!!! The tastings are free & they are dog friendly. I highly recommend stopping at Ecluse.

The wine tasting was excellent - we were driving through Paso Robles and only had time for one winery stop along the way and we were very glad we chose Ecluse. We ended up bringing some bottles back with us all the way to Fiji! The wine was lovely but the highlight was really speaking with the team, including the owner, and hearing how passionate they are about wine.

We visited Ècluse May 20, 2023. This was our second time. When we visited one year ago we joined the club. The winery is small and you taste in the barrel room. It was a great experience. The wines are excellent. Steve, the owner, is a very nice man who speaks with all the folks in the tasting room. He also gives a taste out of a barrel. It was excellentThe ladies who work there are excellent. Many of the wines are award winers. I would encourage visiting this winery if you go to Paso Robles.

We LOVE Ecluse and have been members for years. We have joined and quit so many other wine clubs, but consistently receive excellent, high scoring wines from Ecluse that we enjoy and have never been disappointed with. Their blends are wonderful and the tasting room staff is terrific. There is a new patio to enjoy a bottle, the stunning views, as well as great music. I have learned more from Steve, the owner and winemaker than anyone in the industry. They have barrel tastings often and tastings are always free. Great wine, great people and always my happy place. Oh, and very dog-friendly - they even have a wine named Blind Dog, where proceeds are given to a charity to assist dogs.

We have been wine club members at Ecluse for several years and it is always consistently great. They have one white Rhone blend and the rest are reds, zinfandel, Cab, blends, all are wonderful. Prices are reasonable with a "Blind Dog" table wine at $15.00 through to blends at approx. $40.00. They don't pour the Blind Dog in the tasting room, but trust me buy one you will like it. During the tasting you also get some barrel samples. The team at Ecluse are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The tasting room is in the barrel room and feels like a great place to try the wine. Outside of the tasting room is a beautiful view. They have one or two picnic tables you can use during your visit and plenty of parking. Enjoy!

I have been buying wine from Paso Robles wineries since the early '80's. This is one of a handful of best ones. And no pretentious Napa attitude (in general for most Paso wineries).
See the San Francisco 2017 Wine Competition results with loads of gold and even several double-gold wins.
Knowledgable staff. Martha assisted my wife & I with a great deal of wine savvy.
Located just west of the neighborhood west of Spring Street so easy to access.
