Écluse may not be familiar to you yet but we will be! We invite you to discover us and experience wine tasting the old fashion way – in the barrel room with the winemaker! We are a small family owned winery & vineyard dedicated to producing limited production, hand-crafted, award-winning Rhone and Bordeaux style wines. Located on 30 beautiful acres of gently rolling hillside terroir on the desired Westside of the Paso Robles AVA, our philosophy is to make the very best wines from the very best fruit. Come "Savor the Wine that is truly Écluse"!Cheers! We are a small, boutique family owned winery therefore a reservation is required for groups of 7-10 and must be made in advance. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 10. To schedule a tasting reservation, please give us a call. We look forward to welcoming you into our tasting room!

Quaint little winery with award winning wines

We loved all the reds we tasted (we don't drink whites), especially the 2013 Ensemble! Plus it's the only winery we know that doesn't charge for tasting.

We visited Ecluse over the 4th of July holiday, because we are guardians to a blind, rescue dog (WiFi) and this winery had a blind rescue dog for whom they named their Blind Dog Wine. The staff here were extremely friendly and welcoming and invited our dogs in immediately. We are not wine connoisseurs and we had the opportunity not... More

Ecluse wines allows dogs in their tasting room. They are relatively easy to find and have an assortment of Zinfandel -we purchased the 2012. They even let us try a couple right out of the oak barrels.

My Wine Driver took us to this winery. What a wonderful surprise. During the tasting we were able to barrel taste wine as well. This was a brilliant way to educate us in the wine and barrel world. Our favorite wine was the Improve! Yum!

If you like award winning big wines, with a classic Paso Robles flair, poured by friendly people, this is the place to taste and enjoy! Steve and Pam the owners with their friendly staff are always around, happy to share their enthusiasm and knowledge.

my wife and I stopped in here randomly while wine tasting in paso and walked out in the wine club. it looked kinda funny--really just a big garage or "pull barn". everyone was very cool and willing to talk or not talk about their wines. the wine is "pretentious-worthy" but the folks choose for that not to happen. enjoy a... One of my favorite wineries in Paso for the great wines and excellent staff. We visited with our extremely shy dog and a 5 month old baby, and both were welcomed so warmly outside the entrance (dogs can go into the tasting room). The barrel tasting comparing different types of oak was very fun. We enjoyed our visit very much... More

Nice, knowledgeable people who consistently produce amazing, fruit-forward reds. Some of my favorite wines anywhere.

We have been wine club members at Ecluse for several years and it is always consistently great. They have one white Rhone blend and the rest are reds, zinfandel, Cab, blends, all are wonderful. Prices are reasonable with a "Blind Dog" table wine at $15.00 through to blends at approx. $40.00. They don't pour the Blind Dog in the tasting... More

Steve Lock is a magician. His blends and varietals are stunning. This is one of the unspoiled wineries where the tasting room is in a barn and the owner is usually there to chat about the offerings. He is one of the stellar winemakers in Paso.
