Nice friendly free tasting

Nice tasting room with a good selection of free wine tastes. If your in the mood for retail therapy there are wonderful wine pourers. Wine is available in most grocery stores.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff; told us the wines they were pouring were wines for the wine club and tasting room...not the wines one would find in restaurants or stores. Wines were good, not spectacular.

If someone is standing at the bar waiting for a server, and it has been what seemed like 15 minutes...... then this could be a very bad review. Eventually someone did come up to ask if I had been assisted.... despite two other standing within 5 feet of me (yes, they were waiting on others, but they had free time).... More

My wife and I have visited numerous wineries in the past several years, primarily in Santa Barbara County and they Paso Robles area. This was our first visit to J. Lohr and I was looking forward to trying a new winery. We have enjoyed Chardonnay from this producer in the past. The tasting room is nice and our server, although... More

This was a larger winery, but still very welcoming. Enjoyed the wine and the remote location. This was a change to see the winery that produces wines we can easily find at home.

This is a very nice tasting room. Friendly Staff and a nice selection of their wines. Also some clever and nice merchandise, that go with wine. Wines and merchandise were also reasonability priced. We will return on our next visit to the area.

We enjoyed a nice wine tasting at J Lohr winery in Paso Robles. There was no fee for the tasting except if you wanted to taste the Cuvee series wines. We thought that each of the wines that we drank (I recall that there was a flight of either 4 or 5 wines per person) were good with one excellent... More

J. Lohr has some really good wines, but they don't taste them in there tasting room. My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday. Staff was friendly-ish. There was about 6 people working, and only a few of us in there.I expected more out of this winery considering the name. Better off going to BEVMO or the grocery to... More

You can't beat Lohr's Arroyo Seco Monterey Chardonnay for everyday enjoyment. It is on the dry, non-fruity mellow side of Chardonnays and accompanies most meals very nicely. It is very affordable and generally available at most California supermarkets. We also enjoy their 7 Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon from time to time. That said, we do not feel the same way about... More
