I wait for the parade every year

To be blessed to see the splendor of the Rose Parade each year. We are certainly fortunate. Nothing is grander in any parade and I am proud our lovely city sponsors it !

Getting tickets and parking were handled very well. However, to our dismay, our seats were beside a big tree. I'd say the biggest in all Pasadena! We could not see a thing until the float arrive right in front. We should have been advised about this. Very disappointed!

I enjoyed this tour. The House is beautiful. The guide was full of information about the Rose Parade, how the court is chosen, behind the scenes stories and historical information.

This Parade is one ro be seen......always different and always fun......the floats, the bands, the horses all great..... The floats are amazing to see.....the designs, use of flowers, the creativity and all. (I might be a little prejudice as i volunteer building one of the floats.) You need to get there early and dress in layers as it usually warms... More

I've been to this parade many time. I even marched in it 1946 representing James A Garfield High School ROTC program. Three of us performed rifle tricks in front of the honor guard with the flags. It was a very cool day so hitting the rifle with our gloved hangs made them sting each time!

The Tournament of Roses Parade is something unique to see. Go early so you can see floats being made; stay late so you can visit the floats on display after the parade. Stay in Pasadena and soak up the atmosphere. Go from the parade to the Rose Bowl game as well.

I saw the Rose Bowl parade in 1980 and loved the floats and always wondered what it took to make them. I loved seeing how they were made when I was in the Pasadena area after Christmas this year (2015). It takes so many volunteers to get the floats ready. The flowers smell good too. I learned some floats don't... More

Absolutely beautiful and amazing floats. A bucket list experience for anyone who has grown up watching this parade on TV! The Downton Abbey float was lovely. I looked at three floats up close and they are incredibly detailed and intricately designed. It was a sunny morning and a wonderful experience in Pasadena on New Years Day 2016! Highly recommend. Be sure to go to all three barns. Two barns you are on the floor close to the floats and workers. One barn you get another view from a catwalk. You can take as much time as you would like to talk to the workers and understand the work being done. Next time we go we will go during the... More

Seeing the Rose Parade in person is a truly memorable experience. I highly suggest sitting at the beginning of the parade route (where the tv cameras are) because lots of the floats do fireworks etc but it only happens once so if you are further down the route you miss it. Due to traffic you cannot arrive too early. You... More
