My husband and I recently moved from North Hollywood to Pasadena. We had never stepped foot in Pasadena before buying our 1911 Craftsman house. In order to try and learn about the city we now call home, we did a random Google search for Pasadena tours and found Kristin. You can tell from all of the reviews here that Kristin not only knows Pasadena inside and out, she is one of the warmest, thoughtful, entertaining, engaging and thorough tour guides one could ever hope to meet. We hired her for a private tour; just Kristin, my husband and me. We had a BLAST! Yes; Pasadena is incredible, but truly, Kristin is incredible. We're already booking future private tours with Kristin for when friends and family come to stay with us so they can experience Kristin's magic touch as we have. What a marvelous way to explore this uniquely lovely and historically significant city. Thank you, Kristin!!!!

My wife and I are huge Arts & Crafts aficionados, and have never been to Pasadena. I called Kristin on a whim just before we left from Baltimore. She answered after the first ring and set up a tour of the Gamble House neighborhood (inappropriately named "Little Switzerland"). Her tour was pretty much the first thing we did after we arrived. What a great introduction to Pasadena! She was super friendly and accommodating on the phone and that personality carried through on our tour. We met in front of the Gamble House, and we could tell right away that she shared our love for the style. She is super knowledgable on the subject and led us on a fascinating walking tour of the neighborhood, which includes a number of other Greene & Greene houses, as well as those of one of their rivals. She showed is some great views of the valley that the neighborhood overlooks, which includes the Rose Bowl, and made some other recommendations for drive-bys in other areas of the city, such as Frank Lloyd Wright's Millard House, G&G's Blacker House (beautiful!) and Culbertson House. And thanks, Kristin, for the recommendation for wine after our tour at the Raymond Restaurant, which is an architectural gem in itself! We did the actual Gamble House tour the next day, which is also a must-see.

My family spent a great morning exploring Pasadena with Kristin, who was exceptionally warm and knowledgeable. She covered history, architecture, nature, sports and Pasadena's ties to TV and the movies. She found something to connect on with everyone in my family, from the Gamble House (for which she is a docent) for my craftsman-loving husband and a visit to the bust of Jackie Robinson (who is apparently a Pasadena native) for my son the baseball fan. She told great stories, added fun facts and showed us places off the beaten path. I highly recommend taking this tour!
