I used to hike here a lot ..You should be careful about cows grazing around ...Not too much shade .Sun can really hit you ...have lot of water and sunscreen

If you are vising the school, then go to this area. Other than that, do not make a special trip to see the "Dish", unless you are dish oriented!

This is close to my in-laws, and walking the hill is a family tradition. Great views of the entire bay area. Open only during the day. Some closures - check the Stanford website/Dish page for details.

We visited the Stanford Dish to enjoy a pleasant evening walk. Our granddaughter started out running but soon decided that sitting in the stroller was a better option. There were lots of people out enjoying the paths and socializing.

very nice hike if you're in the stanford area. lovely vistas. not too crowded. clear and well maintained path. only caveats: it's a little hilly at times so wasn't great for my older relatives, and secondly- there's really no shade if you're doing it on...More

Really great hiking trail that gives you a wonderful view overlooking Stanford, Palo Alto, and all of the surrounding areas. Just make sure to watch out for the wildlife, as they tend to come out even during the day!

It’s a nice hike where you follow a nice clean trail to see 2 dishes , one big and one small. Parking is limited and hence a little rush. As you climb up, you will see beautiful views of Bay Area. Nice place for a...More

What a lovely place to get some exercise right by Stanford! The trail is paved and wide, with a few somewhat steep inclines along the way, about 3.7 miles in total. You can enjoy beautiful views of the bay area well getting your moderate exercise....More
