When it comes to a local watering hole, it's hard to beat the Old Pro. It has history and popularity going for it. As it is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Palo Alto it is accessible and popular. It is often filled with locals, Stanford students and people from nearby businesses like Facebook and Google. The food is... More

One of the best places to go in Silicon Valley on game days. You are sure to be able to watch a TV screen from just about any seat in the house. When you come here, sports is the #1 priority. Food and drink quality, and speed of service are a bit of an after thought, but you will get... More

Since they changed from the "old" Old Pro, where it was good bar food and fun times, to the over priced "fancy" bar food and put your credit card up front place, I feel it has gone down hill. If you just want a big loud fun sports bar, this is it. Food and beer is good and there are too many tvs to count. Especially fun with a big game on--lots of spirit. Or reserve a table for your friends and fans and sit have the game of your alum on your tv.

Very happy, very noisy, pizza was not really a thin crust, OK beers, a bit pricey. It's a good place to go - if you like that type of atmosphere.

If you're looking for a place to watch a big game or any televised sporting event, The Old Pro is the only "real sports bar in Palo Alto. Food is hit and miss. Its a bar not a restaurant. I highly recommend

Plenty of big screen TV's, lots of atmosphere and pretty good bar food make this a pretty good place to watch a sporting event
