My wife, son and I did the driving tour today, which was fantastic. If you want to have a gorgeous drive and take a tour at your own pace, this is for you. The self guided tour was informative, interesting and a great way to spend an hour. And don't forget to stop at Windmill Market & Produce for a date shake to cap off the tour!

Three of us French Canadian Gals visited the Windmill Farm. It is very impressive to learn the history. The staff is very nice and will answer all your questions. It is highly recommended that you make this one of your points of interest while visiting Palm Springs.

Great experience 365 days a year! We loved learning more about the famous windmills in Palm Springs! You’ll download their app prior to the tour (or when you arrive to the office) and the app will take you through all the different stops to learn more about all the sites. This is a great opportunity to get close to the windmills for a photo too! You can hop out of your car during the tour and snap a few pictures and videos! I recommend watch the video prior at the information session about the windmills too. You pay by the car which makes this a great adorable activity for families! I also recommend stopping by the little store at the end to try a famous “date shake”. Dates are grown all throughout this area!

Learned oodles about the history of the wind-driven turbine. So much good trivia it was hard to retain it all. Liked the self-drive aspect; the app worked well even for a technology-challenged person like me. Take your time and soak in the innovation it took to get to where we are today in wind power. DO stop for a date shake, and the viewpoint after that: it gives you perspective on this unique area.
