    What an awesome course
This place is a gem. The layout is beautiful and the pace of play was outstanding. We had our hacker wives who hadn’t played in a year and was worried about backing up the course with our 9:15AM tee time. They played best ball to keep it moving and we never felt rushed and the ranger politely asked us once to close the gap in front of us in about 14. Drink cart was well appointed and frequent. Will definitely be back.

    Very good, budget-friendlier course!
This is an excellent course, especially considering that it’s around $50 less expensive than most the courses around. Love the layout. Generous fairways. Fast, huge greens. We had a good pace of play for as busy as the course too. I would always recommend Escena to friends in the area.

Daily Fee Course that Feels LIke a Private Club
Escena Golf Club is a daily fee golf course that treats everyone like a "member". It has all the feel of an exclusive, private club with reasonable prices. The golf course is typically in great shape and play generally moves very quickly. With multiple sets of tees it sets up well for anyone. The Escena Grill delivers great food at good prices and runs lots of happy hour specials. When you are in the Palm Springs area Escena Golf Club is a can't miss!

The course surroundings are beautiful. The course, itself, was flat and boring. The rough was very thick and unplayable in many cases. We were unimpressed.
Most unimpressive was the fact that they charged $75 per person to rent beat up, dirty clubs.
We won’t be back.

Friends invited us to dine with them here. Food was as expected - typical golf club. Wasn't expecting much. Was shocked though with my margarita. It was terrible. Made with orange juice or something - and was $12. View of the mountains from the outdoor talble very nice though.

Escena showed as a challenging course, plays pretty long with quite a few well placed bunkers and raised narrow greens.

I enjoyed the challenge but was dissapointed in the lack of driving range (mats and some netting in front of you), and slow play despite a tee time in the first hour of play. We were waiting on every tee, every shot. There were marshalls but the pace never picked up all round.

Can't comment on the Clubhouse which is supposed to be great, as the long round had me hurrying away.

What a nice course! 3 weeks since opening after overseeding so greens were a little slow but they were prefect. Fairways beautiful. Pace of play was 4.5 hours and course was packed. I found the course better than I expected. Close to airport but never really heard much noice at all. Nice layout.

The course is in good condition but they have a starter there named Chuck McFadden who is a total jerk off. He seems to think he was touched by the hand of God or something. Not only should he not be working at Escena he should never be allowed on any golf course. Chuck JUST SAY NO!!

Course is immaculate and well maintained. The staff could use a few lessons in etiquette. My wife plays golf but decided to go along just for the ride today. I paid my fee and went to the tee with 3 other golfers. The starter told my wife she needed to pay to ride along. THIS IS THE ONLY GOLF CLUB TO CHARGE A RIDER FEE IN ALL THE CLUBS I PLAYED IN PALM SPRINGS. I went into the club house to pay. The girl behind the cash told me the fee was $50. I told her that was the same price as the green fee i just paid. Without emotion, without apology she repeated – the riders fee is $50. My wife refused the ridiculous fee and got out of the cart (rider fees of $28 in Maui at championship courses - fees that the starter waived in both cases - who are they kidding??!!)

the starter now tells me to forfeit my cart and ride along with another player. I have never been asked to forfeit my cart at any other golf course - never mind all golf courses in Palm Springs - strike 2

Strike 3 - the starter collects the flags at end of day and proceeded to push us from the 15 hole so he could collect the flags and go home - still day light. Finally tells us to pack it in on the 16th so he can collect his precious flags.

THESE PEOPLE ARE MONEY HUNGRY AND RUDE. Do yourself a favour - DONT PLAY HERE - play at one of the other 140 courses in the area - Indian Springs has far better greens - the staff are wonderful and there is a free lunch (supper) when you finish.

BTW this club went bankrupt a couple of years ago and bought up at 10 cents on the dollar - that should tell you something about the people who operate this club.

Having MANY golf courses to choose from in PS I went with Escena. After a initial phone call to set up reservations and having them bring my golf cart to pick up my clubs in the parking lot all were 1st class. Checking in they asked if this was my 1st time at the course and Yes it was. They gave me a course lay out booklet that gave me the course/hole description and yardage. Great tool to have! The golf carts are new and come with a ice filled cooler, tee's, towel etc.. The course it self was in super condition and the greens were excellent. Just a great golf experience!

i have been visiting the Coachella Valley 2 yearly for a decade. I have played most of the courses and wrote off Escena in part due to the bad publicity surrounding the developers whoas.
a visiting Vancouver golf buddy booked us in there today by accident more than plan..
Wow, what a golf experience!! Nicklaus design with great vistas and very risk reward golf
layout.
Fabulous facilities, spectacular golf...........18 great holes!
if you didn't think about it before, play it. we are going back first chance i get.
