I attended a fundraiser at the O'Donnel House. I know that we parked at the Palm Springs Art Museum and were vaned up the Mountain so be sure to call the O'Donnel House for information before setting out. The inside is magnificent and the evening view of Palm Springs is breathtaking. The house is restored to it's original self. I'm... More

4 of us enjoyed a stimulating & informative tour with Laura. Every room has a history and the original wall & floor tiles are particularly well preserved and attractive. The view is one of the best in the area, and we hope it will not be too spoiled by whatever monstrosity is under construction down below. Tom O'Donnell was a... More

What a beautiful house! The view is second to none. Our guide Laura was so informative, and friendly. So much Palm Springs history! This house embodies early California history at its finest. The tile, the furnishings , the view! You can see the whole valley. I would rev amend this tour to anyone visiting or for that matter lives here... More

If you can afford it, you frequent Palm Springs, you love golf and you rent downtown Palm Springs, you should consider joining. The course will not disappoint you. The setting is glorious. The restaurant (old O'Donnell house) is superb. Service unparalleled. I've played here now four times and I luv it. My friend joined and she takes me with her.... More

One of the most amazing vistas in Palm Springs. Great, architecturally significant property that is a must see.

Just took this tour with Steve as our guide. Steve initially told us that this place was "magical" and that's just how I felt about it. I had no idea about the history of this place and surrounding area and Steve explained it all in a wonderful storytelling manner. There is no place in the Palm Springs area with this... More

We did the O'Donnell House historic tour last March (2014) and were very impressed. We reserved a few days in advance and ended up being the only others on the tours, we we had a private 2 hour tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed hearing not only about Mr O'Donnell's story but also of the... More

We booked this tour via phone call to Steve~ the Tour Guide~ about two weeks ahead of our travel date. He can be reached at (760) 320-0771 or (800) 966-9597. The cost is $45.00 per person. Steve was very accomodating and a terrific story teller! The house was beautiful inside & out and the tales of the owner & his... More

This was our first trip to the Palm Springs area, and we decided to begin our stay with a tour of the O'Donnell House based on previous reviews of the tour and its guide, Steve. From the minute we spoke with Steve to arrange the tour, we knew that we would not be disappointed. HE makes the tour! Engaging, entertaining,... More

Steve was well studied and personable. The house has a lovely view, probably the best view, over downtown Palm Springs and the whole valley. As Steve said, a 180 degree view. He explained that the house was designed by a painter/artist, not a architect, which accounts for it's beauty. He was able to bring some of the historic founders of... More
