Cactus Jungle, complete with doves, lizards and tortoises
May 2021
Definitely check this place out. You'll see a highly unusual assortment of cacti from all over, as well as an aviary of doves and several land tortoises of all sizes. Spring is a good time of year to go, because you'll see the cacti in bloom. I even got a glimpse of two luminescent lizards at play. A magical place.

Well-done desert garden!
May 2021
The many desert plants and trees were nicely organized and the pathway through them was easy to manage. The signage relating to the plants added to our understanding of the desert's ecology. It was a nice hour's visit. Much appreciated was the restroom on the grounds. Friendly staff; Good value!

Beautiful Grounds!
Apr 2021
This was a small Botanical Garden but really great. The highlight was a black chinned hummingbird has a nest in their greenhouse you can walk through and you are at eye level. So cute!

A large collection of old growth native plants
Mar 2021
The family started collecting old growth specimens in the 1930s so you will see some rare and interesting large plants. It's a great place to spend and hour or two. We enjoyed the hummingbird building it's nest in the greenhouse.

Interesting Cactarium
Oct 2020
My Mom and visited this garden in Oct and had a good time walking around. It' does not take much time to walk through - maybe an hour total if you're stopping at every sign. Tons of different cactus to see and learn about! The owners were very nice and chatted with us at the end. All customers wore masks as did the staff. Easy place to social distance and is outside.

A Compact Family Garden of Large Varieties of Cactus
Nov 2020
This little botanical garden is worth spending an hour to appreciate the vast varieties of cactus, succulents and bromeliads. Its is a compact place with looping trails that fully utilizes the space. Busy, but never crowded or noisy.

Gorgeous cacti
Mar 2020
When we entered at the Moorten Botanical Garden, they were selling cacti.

After all, people would like buying a cacti.

There were flowers as well, as well as flowers of cacti.

There were small cacti, huge cacti.

They had a greenhouse as well.

My wife and I had fun exploring the cacti. There were small cacti and huge cacti.

There were a lot of people. Cacti are attractive. I agree with that!

This is a must see! Wow!

Next time I will come back again.

This is a must see!

Nice Little cactus garden
Mar 2020
Family owned cultivated cactus varieties. They also sold varieties. Close to downtown, so we did this one and the Indian Canyon hike same day. Then downtown for dinner
