The aerial tramway is one of the most memorable parts of our trip. The crowds were pretty bad - we had to wait 2 hours before we could go up the mountain. I'd say that was unusual though. But it was definitely worth the wait. The cable car is very solid but isn't for the faint-hearted; any fear of heights... More

Nice ride to the top and back with few small bumpy sensations at tower switches. At the top of the mountain is great for all seasons, a place to experience snow in the winters, and to hike in the summers. Delicious comfort foods and full bar can be found. Grand veranda to take in gorgeous views. Lockers available to keep... More

We took the trip up on a very hot day in Palm Springs and was glad for the relief from the heat. It was still about 75 degrees up the top but such a nice way to see the valley below. The tram only takes less than 10 mins but you have spectacular views and of course the tram car... More

Arrived around 1pm ish, easy parking (be prepared they do charge an additional $5 for this). The Tram journey is quite something, the height travelling, the rotating cable car which is fantastic as it means no matter where you stand you'll get a 360o view, which is quite something. Amazing views from the top. We also had a fantastic lunch... More

This is a must do when in Palm Springs, California. It was the middle of summer, but the temperature up there was about 20° cooler. If you're in good shape, there's a trail you can follow to get to a real nice area that's like a forest. Wife & I didn't do that hike cause we're not in any kind... More

The aerial tramway is a must if you're passing through Palm Springs A short drive on the outskirts of town as you head toward LA, the views are a must see. Ample parking available and free shuttle to ferry you from lower car parks ( it is a steep walk up to the tramway) Efficient processing and queuing for trams,... More

rotating cable car that takes you up a mountain out of the oppressive heat of Palm Springs in August - some 30 degrees cooler than downtown. Up at the top, a couple of well marked circular walks that afford great views over Palm Springs and the surrounding areas feel a bit violated to pay about $5 parking on top of... More

This is a must experience attraction when visiting Palm Springs. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the top. The tram can a commodate around 80 people. The floor rotates slowly as it travels up/down the mountain. Panoramic views of the city and surrounding areas were of spectacular. Once you reach the top, enjoy the rest of the park-... More

Great ride tot he top and back down, as the various ecosystems move under you as you go from desert to alpine mountain peak. It's a wonderful change from the hot desert in the summer and a great okay to play in the snow in the winter. There's a good place to eat on top of the mountain.

Part of our annual Palm Springs trip is our hike at the tram. Our kids are 6 and 2 and they love riding up. Harder to get them to walk the whole hike, especially the huge uphill to get back to the tram, but the oldest did it all by herself this year. There are two easy hikes. We typically... More
