We went over milk weekend. Tickets were selling out and there was a three hour wait for the tram, but it was worth the fun of the soft snow and sledding with kids. We brought an inflatable sled and it was perfect. My kids were begging to go back.

Went on a sunny Sunday. Was unprepared for a 2 1/2 hour wait. It was a holiday weekend and the weather was outstanding. Bright and clear. Dress warmly. It was brisk up top . The 2 mile desert view hike on a 'lightly groomed trail' was well worth the effort. The views stunning. The memories priceless. Plan ahead. Snacks. Water.... More

We visited for a day trip up the mountain mid-January and had the great fortune of catching the day after a fresh snowfall. A great activity for all ages--children can run and play, light hiking trails for adults, and well-kept paths for older adults. We did two trails and a little off-path adventuring, spent three hours wandering. A few tips... More

We have gone up multiple times. Our kids and their friends enjoy it. Check the weather on-line for conditions at top to determine best dress. Could be 90 degrees in Palm Springs and snow at top. We have used our AAA Motor Club card for a discount. Small museum at bottom. May be 5 - 10 minute drive from entrance... More

Take a break from the heat and bustle of PS and spend sometimes here. The tramway ride is amazing in itself but once your arrive at the peak it's there when the fun starts! Amazing views of the Cochella Valley and St Andrea's Fault and great hiking trails for all levels experience. Do not miss!!!

We had a free afternoon so headed to the tram. A fun ride, very different. Was very cold and windy at the top but a wonderful view.

The tram is a little shaky but safe.Great views from on top. Go when snow is gone from mountain. Park and hiking on top. Much cooler than valley.

A little spendy but worth it as the view is just beautiful. The ride up is crazy steep and the tram turns so you can see every angle. Worth the trip. We did morning and it was a bit chilly but still in shorts.
