Great ride tot he top and back down, as the various ecosystems move under you as you go from desert to alpine mountain peak. It's a wonderful change from the hot desert in the summer and a great okay to play in the snow in the winter. There's a good place to eat on top of the mountain.

Part of our annual Palm Springs trip is our hike at the tram. Our kids are 6 and 2 and they love riding up. Harder to get them to walk the whole hike, especially the huge uphill to get back to the tram, but the oldest did it all by herself this year. There are two easy hikes. We typically... More

Roughly 25$pp and definitely worth it. We(husband and I) went early morning-they opened at 10am. There were about 30+ppl in our cart. As the cart goes up it spends around very slowly...this was alarming to me at first, but it does it so you can view all of Palm Springs. I loved it and would go back today if the... More

Definitely worth checking out when you are in PS. The tram ride itself is fun and kinda scary. The views up top are breath taking. Even when warm down in the town, there may be snow up here so bring some layers. The temperature difference is drastic..and refreshing. There are some hiking trails up here that are worth checking out

The trip on this aerial tramway is stunning. It only takes 10 minutes but rises by about 5 or 6000 feet. The views are great from the tram staton. The walking at the to of the mountain is great. Lots of trails for the complete novice to the experienced walkers for you want to do a more challenging walk the... More

You are going to want to do this. Who wouldn't want to take an aerial tram ride from the desert floor to 8000 feet while spinning in a circle. If not for that how about escaping from the desert heat, taking in some breathtaking views of the valley below, do some hiking on the many trails or have a nice... More

Took the family up for the rotating tram to the top of the mountain. The ride was fantastic. The rotating tram gave everyone a 360 degree view of the valley and mountain. You also got a little history and information about the tram. Once on top there are good viewing areas, but with some tree interference to the views. Lots of... More

This is a must do when you are in the Coachella Valley. Well worth a day to explore the mountain eco system and look down on the valley.

I've been to Palm Springs many times and knew the tram was there; but, never took the time to try it out. Now, I like tramways and especially enjoyed the tramway outside Albuquerque when I took it. But, this one is different. As others mention, it spins around, giving everyone a nice view. Hiking at the top was the best... More

I loved this ride up the mountain. We wanted to eat at Peaks Restaurant for our anniversary and to get there we had to take the spinning tram up the mountain. We ended up parking in Lot A which is closest to the tram but there was still a short walk up a hill and steep stairs to get to... More
