Bring a jacket! No matter how warm or hot you think it is at sea level in Palm Springs, it is chilly if not down right cold at the top. Plan on going up in the later part of the morning to take advantage of the clear skies. We aren't hikers, so we didn't wander off from the club house... More

What a great way to get out of the heat into the beautiful pines of the San Jacinto Mountains. We road the tram as a shortcut to hike to the peak of Mount San Jacinto, cutting off a couple thousand feet of elevation than if we hiked from Humber Park or Idyllwild trail heads. Even if you aren't into hiking,... More

Interesting and fun, even for those afraid of heights! I would eat before going because the food there is not as spectacular as the view.

We always have a lot of fun on the Aerial Tramway. It's a great place for kids and all ages as well. We always take the early tram ride around 9:00 am when it's less crowded. No line at that hour makes whole the experience more fun and convenient. The tram rotates when going up and that's the most exciting... More

This is a fun ride and a great way to get away from the summer heat. The tram car slowly rotates with great views of the valley and rocky mountainside on the way up. At the top you are on a pine-forested mesa with pleasant walking paths and views of the valley far below. The day I visited it was... More

The tram takes you up to an elevation of over 8400 feet, With amazing desert views all the way up. At the top there are numerous places to hike and there is a visitor centre along with a cinema and restaurant. The ride and the hikes are without a doubt worth every penny the area is a beautiful piece of... More

My husband & I took the tram up the mountain to go hiking. The tram ride was fun! It's a great view. It was 40 degrees cooler at the top. Perfect hiking weather. We are planning on riding it again with our kids.

Take this tram - the view is worth it. Not only is the building itself a work of art - but the breathtaking view from the top is worth getting over any fear you may have for heights.

The Aerial Tramway was fun and Mount San Jacinto State Park was a nice surprise as we weren't expecting that to be on the backside once we got to the top. The park has nice paved pathways and great park volunteers that pop up everywhere. Great spot to visit and would recommend in the morning, as the temperatures are nice... More
