I've been to Palm Springs several times, yet never visited the Palm Springs Art Museum. This was my mistake. This is an excellent museum that is not too large, is laid out in a comfortable way, has nice exhibits, and a wonderful museum shop. We visited in September, so the busy season is a few months ahead. That was probably... More

I'm not much of a museum kind of guy, but friends were going so I went along. It actually surprised me. A fun place to walk around in, and you learn about the displays but it isn't a 'stuffy, hoity-toity' type museum if you know what I mean. I'd say go see it. But, for me, once is enough for... More

Pretty hacked off to take a long walk in over 35C/100F to find the PS Art Museum to find that it doesn't open until 12 noon on Fri and Sat but it does stay open until late on those evenings. We arrived at this stunning very James Bond Building one and a half hours too early to go inside. It's... More

A jewel of a museum...constantly changing shows...permanent collection is amazing. During the winter there are free foreign films...contact the museum. Thursday nights the museum is free to the public...nice to visit along with the street fair. There is a very good gift shop. The sculpture garden is one of the best.

We visited Palm Spring Art Museum last summer and it was amazing. On Thursday nights, the city host a town festival and the entrance to the museum is free. It is a modern building offering wonderful contemporary art. I enjoyed the glass sculpture exhibition which featured top artists such as Chihuly.

Beautiful building. When we were there, there was an. Exhibition in sculpture and painting with wonderful worn by Picasso and Cesanne. Really well done. We had only one or two hours but I could not find any Indian artwork. This would have rounded our trip there perfectly.

Truly excellent value ( particularly on Thursday when it is free!). This is a very sophisticated collection housed in a friendly and very accessible building. It gives you a hint of the accomplished glamour that exists in Palm Springs and makes you want to become part of the local folk. A must-see and a very satisfying prelude to to the... More
