I hiked the Randall Henderson Trail today for the first time. It was mostly easy with some moderate climbs. I took me 45 minutes to complete the Canyon Loop. There are shorter trails if you prefer. Spectacular views of the Valley. A good location for...More

Stop off at the visitor centre before you drive over the scenic windy road over the mountains. The views are fab.

We went to the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountain National Monument Visitor Center. We watched the movie before driving up Palm to Pines HIghway to see the monument area. Park Rangers were helpful. There is a gift store area.

We did a beautiful hike up to San Jacinto. Do not underestimate the cold weather up top and lots of snow this year. Enjoyed a well deserved martini back at the restaurant at the aerial tram. 11 mile return hike

There is a wealth of great hiking available here, from a quick half hour loop just outside the victors center, to day long hikes up the Art Smith trail up to the oasis's and beyond.

Amazing view of the mountains driving up the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains on Hwy #74. Scenic lookouts at the top of the mountains.
