Had a lot of fun on this 3 hour stroll around downtown Palm Springs for a little history, tastings at several local eating establishments and just fun conversations with guide Kay and other participants. Also included viewings of art and statues around this particular area. Have done these types of tours in other cities - they all are fun and interesting.
Appreciated the discount at Brandini Toffee and are enjoying our purchases (as well as small free gift!). Thanks, Desert Tasty Tours!

We had an 11 am tour on December 27, 2019. Our tour guide was Ginny. It was just her, my husband and me. Ginny was a delight - very personable and a fun person to guide us around Palm Springs for the next 3 hours. We stopped at 5 or 6 places along the route. Each giving us a good sampling and every one of them delicious. As we had never been to Palm Springs before it was fun to hear about the start of the city and how it grew over the years. I find food tours in cities we've never been to a good way to learn about the town and it's best food. I was not disappointed and would recommend this tour to everyone.

Ginny was our tour guide today. She was animated and engaging. She started the tour by learning a bit about my husband and me and our experiences in the Coachella Valley as well as how many food tours we had done. We were the only two on this windy and chilly day. Every stop was prepared for us and there was more than enough food to eat as we grazed our way through Palm Springs, learning some history and culture. We had never eaten at any of the restaurants and have agreed we will go back to each for a meal. We liked that there were different kinds of foods, a little alcoholic beverage, sweets, and an olive oil and vinegar shop. The timing for each stop was good and the walk was delightful. Ginny also provided us with some recommendations of other restaurants in the Valley, which we appreciated as we visit the area frequently.

I go on a lot of food tours (usually in Europe). This tour was very well organized and well-coordinated. Everyplace we went was expecting us, and we had a place to sit (even if the establishment was crowded). We sampled a very good cross section of foods. We certainly got plenty to eat (and drink)! Todd did a good job leading us. We were a large group in a very crowded town, and he corralled us very effectively and in an understated way. A class act.

Such a fun tour! My first time doing a food tour and thanks to Bill, can’t wait to do more! There were nine of us and at the first stop we were encouraged to share something about ourselves. It was a great way to get conversations started for the next three hours (being by myself this was very helpful for me).

The variety (and deliciousness) of the establishments was outstanding. Portions were large but didn’t leave me feeling stuffed by the end. The pacing was excellent-just enough and not too much time at each spot. Bill was informative and engaging-his “history lessons” were great fun.

And they provided a list of other places to try nearby-I’ve already tried two and they were great!

Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. I hope they can work out the one on El Paseo so I can take that one next year!

I strongly encourage everyone to avoid this food tour company. I booked a tour for six people in March of this year before Covid 19 shut everything down. I even bought travel insurance to cover the cost in case we were not able to take the tour due to the virus. Instead Desert Tasty Tours cancelled the tour and promised in writing a full refund, meaning it would not be necessary for me to place a claim against the travel insurance. Here I am seven months out, and I have yet to see even a penny of the $500+ I spent on the tickets. This is clearly not a reputable company, and I want the world to know.

Dan gave us a wonderful tour of Palm Springs. He told us very interesting stories of the town from years ago up unto the present day. We ate at 6 local restaurants, and all of the food served to us was very tasty. We left the tour so full, we did not even eat dinner. I would highly recommend taking this food tour, at least to give you a snapshot of the restaurants in Palm Springs.

What a great time! Our tour guide, Arnie, was engaging, entertaining and knowledgeable. Our hosts at the various restaurants and stores were welcoming and helpful... some offering special discounts right then and there or coupons for a return visit at a later time. Every tasting was delicious with time to learn a bit about the area, chat with other on the tour, and to enjoy the taste sensations! This tour is highly recommended--very worth the price.
