My trip to this area was precisely to visit this Mission which seems well preserved/maintained. It is small to medium size--because it was a "sub-mission"--and still is used for hearing mass and as a school. It has a gift store were you can purchase souvenirs,...More

Very authentic looking sub mission. Not as elaborate as the main missions, but very interesting just the same. If you have not been, it's worth taking a look.

The grave yard at the Mission Church had grave sites dating from the early 1800s. The Mission Bell Tower is beautiful and the bells are rung every Sunday and om special occasions. The Church itself is a beautiful depiction of Mission life.

Lots of history at the mission. Very interesting place to teach kids about Alta California History. Very Important to share about the Native Peoples and culture too.

This is a good place to learn about one of the early California missions. It's a nice and quiet place to visit and to imagine what life must have been like a couple of hundred years ago in the Golden State.
