We offer several different Segway tours in the Monterey Bay Area, including Monterey, Pacific Grove, Santa Cruz and Seaside California. Some areas our tours cover include the historic downtown Monterey, Pacific Grove Coastal Tour, the Recreation Trail and West Cliff Drive, Santa Cruz. All of our tours are fun, scenic and informative. No experience is necessary; we will teach you to ride your Segway Personal Transporter model i2 before we venture out on our cruise.

Jerry is a very experienced Segway instructor and tour guide. We had a great time rolling through and seeing Monterey, California on the Segway. Jerry communicated very well from the time I emailed with questions all the way through booking, confirming, instructing and touring. I would highly recommend this activity to any family or group visiting Monterey. I had my husband and two older children on the tour with me and everybody said this was their favorite activity! We went 3rd week of August and It gets really cool and windy along the coast so I highly recommend wearing a jacket or hoodie.

My friend and I took the Pacific Grove Coastal Tour. It was her first time on a Segway, so the training portion was key to her comfort and safety. In no time Jerry had her ripping around like an old pro. Jerry is especially good at giving information about the things you're seeing, pointing out hazards on the path/road, making sure people on foot know you're coming through, and taking group photos and video (that he later sends you) so you're not fumbling with your camera or phone the entire trip. I can't wait to go back and do another tour! So fun!

My friends and I joined the owner, Jerry, for a great day out on the Segways. We toured historic Monterey, while Jerry shared an abundance of great information about the area. We appreciated Jerry’s patience and support in training us on the Segway. This outing was so much fun and we cannot wait to do it again. We highly recommend riding a Segway with Jerry.

I would strongly recommend experiencing a Segway ride with Jerry, the owner, on the Monterey Peninsula. It is beautiful, fun, and great for the whole family. A memorable family adventure. And Jerry starts with a thorough session on safety for each rider.

Jerry was outstanding. Great knowledge of the area and great sense of humor. Jerry does a great job of making sure all riders are prepared. Be patient at the beginning the training takes a bit but it has to be done....

My wife and I recently went on a tour with Jerry at Segway Tours Monterey. We have been on quite a few tours in many different places and I have to say, this was one of the best tours that we have experienced. Jerry is very thoughtful during the training process and even though we are seasoned riders, he was careful to go thru all the safety training and to tell us about safety issues we may encounter in the Monterey area. We really appreciated that because every location has its own unique challenges. We took the tour through Pacific Grove and had a great ride. Jerry is super knowledgable about local history and having the radios made for an enjoyable ride while we listened and learned. I would highly recommend this tour to people of all ages. You will love it!

Jerry deserves 6 stars. Our tour was fantastic. He did such a good job training us on how to ride the segways. He was very patience and professional.
We highly recommend the tour if you want to have fun and do something different. Such a very nice experience!!!

My wife and I did the Recreation Trail Tour. Jerry, the owner and tour guide was great! He was extremely knowledgeable of the area, great with Segway training, and just an all around nice guy. We have taken quite a few Segway tours over the years and Segway Tours Monterey is one of the best! Pricing for tours are very reasonable and well worth the price!

Our family of four (65, 60, 24, 12) took the Historical Tour with Jerry. He did a great job quickly training us and then guiding us through Monterey (on a crowded Sunday). He took photos and videos and emailed them to us later that day. We wore headsets so it was very easy to hear everything he said.

We loved the historic tour of Monterey with Jerry. He did a great job training us on the segways so we were comfortable. We learned so many new things about the history of Monterey, and Jerry kept our teenagers totally engaged with it! He also provided water and granola bars for our break. He paced everything perfectly, and he emails you pictures he takes of your group. Fabulous!

How is it possible that e-bikes and Segways are allowed on 17-Mile Drive, but electric scooters are not? Can someone confirm this? What about the Segway ES2 electric scooter?

Hello Mr. Fabian,
Your are correct that E-bikes are allowed on The 17 Mile Drive but not correct in saying that Segway Personal Transporters are allowed on The 17 Mile Drive. I am not certain whether Segway E2 electric scooters are allowed on the drive. Bicycles are also allowed on The 17 Mile Drive and the determination of which vehicles are allowed on the drive is made by representatives of the Pebble Beach Company. It is private property and they can make the rules.

Hello,
Unfortunately, about three weeks ago( (6/09/17), Pebble Beach Company advised me that I will no longer be able to conduct the 17 Mile Drive Segway Tour. Their comment to me was that they had numerous complaints and that it was considered a safety issue.
I have been the only Segway Tour company providing that tour for over four and one half years and not once had I received a call from the Pebble Beach Company about any safety issues or any other issues.
I believe that the Pebble Beach Company was not being forthright with me and believe that someone with some influence decided that they did not like Segways on the Drive and convinced the Company to deny their entry.
When they notified me of this restriction, I had several tours booked on the 17 Mile Drive Tour. The only one that the Pebble Beach Company would allow to be conducted was that of a company who had been having their corporate event at Spanish Bay for the past 15+ years, which told me that safety was not the primary issue but rather money and influence.
It is unfortunate that they have made this decision but I have neither the time or money to fight their arbitrary decision.
I have replace the 17 mile drive tour with a tour along side the Pacific Grove coastline which provides some awesome views.
