I have played this course several times, and the back nine you can feel the ocean spray, and hear the waves, as well as see the ocean. This is a great course, and if you can't afford the cost of PB, then this he best thing next to the Ocean.

This is a really pleasant golf course. This is no Pebble Beach, but it's excellent value for money. The location is good and although the course is short it is ideal for a leisurely round of golf. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Club rental is very good, and the clubs available for rent were first class. Unfortunately the days... More

Wanted to play Monterey on a budget and this course fit the bill. You get what you pay as for condition of the facility but the location and views are the big bonus with the ocean and lighthouse. Would definitely play again if in the area.

This course seems like to separate courses. The front nine is among the backyards of the houses of Pacific Grove. The back nine is among the sand dunes with ocean views on every hole and in the shadows of the Point Pinos Lighthouse. It is definitely a must for every golf trip to Monterey. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I had a tee time of 1:30 PM which was a discounted rate. The course was very well-maintained and had a relaxing atmosphere. The first nine holes is on the side of the clubhouse, the back nine is across the road and has gorgeous ocean views. The course had lots of deer that didn't seem to mind... More

As Municipal Courses go, and I've played quite a few, Pacific Grove is one of the best. The course was in fabulous condition, and there were yardage markers all over the fairway, so I never had to guess how to play a shot. The views of the coastline are beautiful, and the back nine takes you right past a working... More

The front nine of this course is interesting, but not spectacular. The back nine however is beautiful and near the seaside with great views. It was pretty exciting to play in a strong wind. The course is a great value compared to the rest of Monterey.

There is no better value on the Monterey peninsula, and maybe in the whole US, then this course! 9 holes with amazing ocean views! With a traditional 9 on the front, which is nice, but as soon as you get to number 10, you know why this is so amazing! True Links style with the feel of Scotland, and being... More

Used a Groupon to play 18 holes here in June. The weather was perfect, the course was well maintained and the employees are very friendly and helpful. The back nine is spectacular, as all holes overlook the ocean (just across the street). Worth every penny, especially using our Groupon. June is a good month to play there, as long as... More

Loved this course. Interesting front 9 and great views on the back 9. Lots of tame deer on the course as well. Greens are great as well - true and quick. This place is so cheap compared to other courses in the area as well. Great welcome too.
