As Municipal Courses go, and I've played quite a few, Pacific Grove is one of the best. The course was in fabulous condition, and there were yardage markers all over the fairway, so I never had to guess how to play a shot. The views of the coastline are beautiful, and the back nine takes you right past a working... More

The front nine of this course is interesting, but not spectacular. The back nine however is beautiful and near the seaside with great views. It was pretty exciting to play in a strong wind. The course is a great value compared to the rest of Monterey.

There is no better value on the Monterey peninsula, and maybe in the whole US, then this course! 9 holes with amazing ocean views! With a traditional 9 on the front, which is nice, but as soon as you get to number 10, you know why this is so amazing! True Links style with the feel of Scotland, and being... More

Used a Groupon to play 18 holes here in June. The weather was perfect, the course was well maintained and the employees are very friendly and helpful. The back nine is spectacular, as all holes overlook the ocean (just across the street). Worth every penny, especially using our Groupon. June is a good month to play there, as long as... More

Loved this course. Interesting front 9 and great views on the back 9. Lots of tame deer on the course as well. Greens are great as well - true and quick. This place is so cheap compared to other courses in the area as well. Great welcome too.

Extreme friendly staff at the pro shop. Exceeded my expectations. Beautiful course with challenging greens. The back nine is simply amazing and it feels like you change to a whole new course. Definitely a must try. I would play here again.

Don't want to spend $500 for a round of golf? For 10 times less, go to Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course. Same scenery on the back 9 as Pebble and a wonderful and fun course to play. And the breakfast ain't bad!

Very walkable, great rates, front nine through the woods and dear ... lots of dear - and they don't move .... love sharing the space with them. Back nine along the coast. Fog can come in later in the day. The course is fun, not too hard yet challenging. Greens and fairways normally in good condition. I really enjoy this... More

I've played this course twice and like it. The first nine is Ok, not so challenging, but nice holes. Back nine is awesome. And reminds me of Spanish Bay. The 12th par 5 is my favourite. Great view, and a fantastic layout. You'll enjoy the view, the Deers, and will have a great time

This golf course is only a few miles away from Pebble Beach. The course is challenging but not the same difficulty as Pebble Beach. However, the back 9 is all along the Big Sur coastline so you have terrific views all the time. The course is very well maintained and very friendly. Your tee time fee includes a cart. The... More
