Best beach for doggies in Monterey Bay. Loved it so much. Half the beach is a offleash dog area and the other half is on leash. On the side on leash there is a good selection of tide pools to check out. Just above the...More

Great hiking trails along the coast. Great boardwalk trails. Great sights of crashing waves and calm tide pools.

Went for a nice walk on the beach but did not have to walk on the beach. Raised wood plank path made of a nice leisurely stroll

Amazing walk early in the morning. Tidal pools, great view. Take a walk from the western point around the lighthouse to Lover's Park.

Nice boardwalks in certain areas leads to the beach and they actually allow fires on the beach. It is always clean and have never come across rude people. We have a blast here with our dogs. Be sure to ask someone local where the dog...More

The views were great and the breach was relaxing. We went when the park opened so it was not crowded. We enjoyed our visit.

We've come here a few times over the years and it is full of people but doesn't feel crowded. We just spent a couple of nights hanging out on the beach for sunsets. While there may be prettier beaches South of here, it was great...More

A beautiful beach for walking/beach combing. The white sand sparkles like sugar. It feels upscale because of the neighborhood, but this is California living!

It's fabulous. What else can you say. White sand, boardwalks, plants and birds, a stunning windswept beach like in the movies. Great walks to be had here.

Asilomar Beach is my favorite beach on the central coast. There is always a good set of waves and plenty of room to enjoy time on the beach. There are not any facilities there, but there is a lot of beach.

As far as I know fires are not allowed on the "State Beach" (the end closest to the road) however you can have small Webers or hibachis. If you cross the small stream going from the boardwalk to the sea( the county end... More

Yes. We saw several dogs and very few of them were leashed. They were all well behaved and it seems everyone does clean up after them. We saw no "gifts" left behind. :)
