Beautiful ocean views!

The park has a trail that runs parallel to the ocean. The views are fantastic. You can see sea lions on the rocks.

For a small area, it contains a real variety of environments and activities. There is a protected coast area in which children were playing and swimming, rock outcroppings on which some people were walking, cypress trees, and more. My favorite thing was the sea views and views of Pacific Coast coastline area. It was not the “must see” I expected... More

Great spot for rock climbing, tide pools, little beach. Most of the crowds from Monterey stop here. You can go further to Asilomar or any of the spots along the coast for more serene experience.

My son and I were here July 4th. The park was crowded, but in a good way. Lots of extended families having cookouts and children. Very pleasant atmosphere!

Very Popular for good reason but there are equally nice less crowded places. If you'd like to picknic on the grass with benches and bbq's you'll need to arrive very early. The street parking and all benches were full by 10am last Saturday. There is a bike and kayak rental on location as well.

Our hotel (Lover's Point Inn) was a few hundred feet from the park. The Park is a beautiful location with a walking trail along the water. There are beautiful photo opportunities along the way with rock outcroppings, a beach, and some beautifully maintained grounds. We saw whales spouting in the distance, took a walk on the beach, and climbed a... More

The park has a small pool (heated to 90 degrees) and swimming lessons are available for children. A snack bar sits at the top of the hill. A small and popular beach is at the bottom of the stairs, Nice public art sculptures grace the grassy lawn. Interesting rock features draw curious explorers. Everything is so clean and well taken... You have the beach area on one side of the park, but the recreational walkway continues on the other side with lots of benches for resting and seal watching!

Yes, it can get a bit touristy and crowded. I'd park in downtown Pacific Grove and walk a few blocks so you can get in and out quickly. But it's easy to see why people fall in love with Lover's Point!

Best park in Pacific Grove. It's free. Many people come here for the day. There's a grass area, tables, and a bbq, a few statues, and restaurants nearby. The view of the ocean is spectacular. There's direct beach access and large rocks to climb on both down at the beach and above at park level. The tidepools here are interesting... More
