For our tiny enclave of Pacific Grove, this is a wonderful attraction to have. I initially went to learn about the birds of prey (California Condor, Turkey Vultures, along with other small water foul ALL over the bay. I wanted to learn about the wildlife I was seeing. Besides the aquarium (for sea life), this is the next best thing... More

This is a great museum. The exhibits are creative and informative. The docent, Marc, was extremely friendly and even gave us a map if other local attractions.

My family and I make this our destination when our grandchildren come to town. The displays are an excellent representation of our local animals in Monterey County. Excellent visuals on our Monarch butterflys that nest here during the winter. Also have movies on various animals, wildlife in our area,

The PG Museum of Natural History has a terrific collection of California Coastal birds, as well as other local fauna. The museum is small, but can easily span two hours for a family to peruse. Be sure to pick up the scavenger hunt page for children, and take the time to watch the monarch videos. There is a small outside... More

Museum was hosting a Kids Day. Lots of history and interactive displays. We enjoyed the native birds display and the history of the monarch butterfly.

This little museum is small, but very nice for what it is. I probably could have spent more time there, but my 3yo and 5yo were DONE after about an hour, so I wouldn't count on entertaining little ones here for long (it's probably better suited for upper elementary ages and up). My 5yo did enjoy completing the little scavenger... More

We just "stumbled" on this museum, but it was a wonderful "hidden gem". One of the largest bird collections I have ever seen. Passionate folks to provide more detail about the displays, when requested. Also remarkable, a display of over 700 sands/soils in small test tubes collected from all over the world.
