Stopped by Lovers Point early this evening to enjoy the view (and we lucked out and found good parking!). Saw whales off shore...several spouts and a few breaching! Plus there were sea otters in the kelp...always something fun to see!

Beautiful view, small but nice beach to play on, and its along a nice trail that runs along the water all the way to the aquarium.

Situated near the starting point of the coastal trail, you can walk, drive or bike there. A nice protected beach sits below and a beautiful little park is up on top. A large kelp bed lies just off shore and it attracts sea otters along...More

How fun to have a place like this right in the middle of town?? Accessible, clean fun. Gorgeous views and lots to see. Enjoying the vistas, walking or biking. Just a fun place to be with the family.

Beautiful and historically interesting - great memories here! The antique glass bottom boat information is very interesting...another time...

My wife and I visited this park and walked the trail 2-3 days a week from January through March. We saw sea lions almost every visit, sea otters quite often, and actually saw several whales from the shore as well! There’s a hot dog/burger stand...More

I used to go here as a child. I loved it... no pun intended. There are rocks to explore and once down on the beaches you are contained so you can keep an eye on kids pretty easily. Tide pools, sea glass, shells, marine animal...More

Lovers Point in PG is a beautiful park. It has a restaurant already plus a new place under construction. Also has a casual eating spot to eat outdoors. Kids enjoy the beach area. Good views of Monterey Bay.

Lover's Point is known for a carpet of stunning, bright pink ice plant. I did a little research and learned that it blooms between early April through the end of May.

I was just there this week end. I really don't know about taking a BBQ onto the beach but the nice park just steps up from the beach has built in BBQ's. The park has great ocean views and is just steps from the beach.

Not sure whether this is regarding Lover's Point but if it is, it's a public area so accessible to the Public, 24/7.
