We checked out Blue Ocean Kayaking on August 5 and the only available date they had that fit with our time in the area was August 19. So we booked it and they confirmed. A day later we were informed that they cancelled that date. The following day they called us to reschedule. I informed them there is no date,... More

Fantastic staff - Everyone was positive, enthiusastic and great to talk to. They look very happy to be there! Boat Trips - not too fast, not too slow, we saw many dolphins, including a little baby dolphin doing jumps alongside us for what seemed like a mile or two. Also, not overcrowded and easy to move around. Kayaking - obviously... More

My family did this trip two years ago and it was wonderful; therefore, I recommended it to our friends. Our friends booked it on our recommendation and several weeks before their trip, they were contacted via email by Blue Ocean Kayaking saying that they didn't have enough people to make for a full trip, therefore our friends would have to... Yep, took the gran kids there and now enjoy hero status. Forget whale watching crushes, we got that plus dolphins and then the piece de resistance, a four mile guided kayak trip along the coast of Anacapa island in very cool kayaks. This is a must do for all ages. Excellent staff, great equipment, and a never-forget-experience. Will do again... More

We were greeted by friendly staff, given the safety and kayak information and off we went. The hour ride over was nice and the fact that you step off the back of the boat, right into your kayak was wonderful. No hauling of kayaks. The did all the work. We kayaked one way on the non-ocean side (calmer water) and... More

Great day with Blue Ocean Kayaking! All the crew went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable and safe trip kayaking through the sea caves on Anacapa Island! Lots of wildlife! I had never been kayaking, no problem! There were 3 guides in the water with us who were at all times kind and patient and very informative re sea... More

My friend and I had the chance to enjoy kayaking around Anacapa island with Blue Ocean Kayak. The price included the boat trip to the islands, a double kayak, and a guide. We saw harbor seals, sting rays and topped it off with an amazing opportunity to kayak through caves and arches. No pressure or need to go into ones... More

Our group of seven totally ENJOYED our day with Blue Ocean Kayaking! 3.7 miles of the Pacific ocean under our belt along with a few caves (and sea lions!) Reservations were easy to make, directions to the boat were helpful and the staff excellent! We loved our 10 mile boat ride to the island and especially the ride back eating... More

We shared a double Kayak and saw harbor seals, sea lions, garibaldi, sting rays, halibut, abalone, dungeness crab, lobster, cormorants, oyster birds, pelicans, squid eggs, gulls, and went into at least a dozen caves. Good day, no wind, flat sea, not to hot. Good boat trip on a solid vessel that drops you at one end of the island and... More

What a great adventure! The facilities are exceptional. Since Blue Ocean Kayaking has their own ferry you don't have to worry about the additional cost and time of arranging transportation (they are the only company I found who does this). Being able to store our extra clothes, camera, etc on the boat while we were kayaking was so convenient! Also,... More
