Beautiful art-deco style movie theater. Not the box style of modern movie houses. Easy parking. Restaurants surround the Theater Square for a before show or after dinner/lunch.

The Orinda Theatre is a nicely updated Art Deco movie house located in the Orinda Crossroads, close to BART and Hwy 24. The seats are comfy, and there is onsite parking that can be validated at the snack bar. Good movies all the time. Safe...More

It's nice to see a movie in this beautiful old theater. It shows foreign and independent movies. There are 3 rooms, and two are beautiful but one is very small. It's almost like you are in your living room watching your big screen tv.

Saw Grease there last night. Haven't been to theatre in awhile. I did notice differences between an old theatre and new (i.e. no surround sound, no a/c, no cup holders etc. On bright side they served wine! Movies are free on the 2nd Thursday of...More

This is a classic old space, and was renovated twenty years ago. It is a nice "small" suburban theater, in the middle of an updated "eating area."

This is a vintage-style, art deco theatre in the middle of the tiny, quaint downtown of Orinda that maintains its old charm. Its definitely worth going to a movie here, vs a big, corporate/modern theater simply because its an entirely different experience. It is gorgeous...More

Just like the good old days. A large gracious theatre with ample seating and no noise from 14 other movies. I don't see many movies, however I would much rather see one here than at a multi-plex. From what my friend said, the price is...More

This theatre is a beauty with the original Art Deco and large comfy seats, lots of leg room and showing excellent movies. It is a 75 year old tradition and truly the "only place" to see movies, atmosphere and excellent popcorn too.

Saw "La La Land" tonight in the Orinda Theater after dinner at Wild Magnolias around the corner. Theater is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this month. It consists of the original old theater which seats like 450-500 people, and some smaller, newer theaters to compete with...More

We went here to see regular movies (mainstream) and loved the decoration, the ambiance, the small size and the prices. Just a great value for the family.

I don't know I would suggest you call the theatre directly. I am a person reviewing my visit to the theatre
