Such an awesome place to wander through. Get there early since there really aren't that many parking spots. A trail leads you through some fantastic views. We had fun with our granddaughter going in some of the burned out trees. The hike/walk is easy. There is a map you can either use or buy with a suggested donation. We spent... More

This trail wasn't too long and was not strenuous. There is a trail guide available which is really nice to read along the way. The trail itself goes around through a redwood forest and is very beautiful! I definitely recommend this! Make sure you get there in the morning because parking fills up quickly!

What a great, quick hike! I loved the trail guide that you could borrow or buy. It was very informative! Everyone in the group enjoyed the hike, as there are so many redwoods to see on the trail. A lot of great photo opportunities! Definitely with the ride up Bald Hills Rd!

We took a Ranger led walk to the Lady Bird Johnson Grove. Super informative! Very glad we did it. We spent several days in Redwoods, and while we thoroughly enjoyed the beauty, it was super nice to have some details about what we were seeing and the history of the trees. Highly recommend the 'Ranger led' tour! The walk is... More

This one and a half mile loop is an easy walk thru some beautiful woods . The trees are amazing and the trail guide available in a box shortly after the trail starts, is worth reading along the way,

This is a rare upper elevation grove of huge and beautiful redwoods! The drive up is incredibly steep with lots of sharp switchbacks - not recommended for big RVs or trailers - and the parking lot is small. But once you're on the trail the trees and scenery are lovely. We went with my senior parents and our daughters ages... More

The most beautiful place on earth! I will never forget my visit! It truly is where nature begins! We were there to celebrate the centennial of the National Park System!

A 1.5 mile loop walk with a guide you can either borrow or buy. Such an amazing grove, high up on a hill and away from the ocean. Every grove feels different and this one was so peaceful.

This is a hike that most can tolerate. It's not too short and not too long. There are lots of trees to view. Huge ones. Ones that have been burnt. One that were probably struck by lightning. Ones growing together. We saw a doe and her two babies while we were driving up. That was special.

This hike should appeal to anyone who wants to get a good up-close look at old-growth redwoods. Pick up a map (and leave a small donation) that will describe at certain points along the trail, everything you wanted to know about the life-cycle of these trees and what they provide for the forest. It's an easy paved trail that's about... More
