A fitting tribute to the great Lady Bird Johnson, this 1.5 mile trail was so peaceful and quiet that even though others were there, we felt like we were far away from other people. The trail covers a beautiful grove of Redwoods and is part of a much larger national park. We did not take the tour, but there is... More

Redwood National and State Park is a must go destination if you wish to see majestic redwoods and feel the wonder of God's creation in such beauty! The Lady Bird Johnson Grove is a jewel, and a very easy short walk. However, it took us 1.5 hours to get through because we were "ooo-ing and aahh-ing" at the trees and... More

This is a wonderful walk through the old growth redwoods for us seniors. We used hiking pools just for a little support, but it wasn't steep so we wouldn't have needed them. Pick up a booklet that is in the box. We didn't so when we came to the posts with numbers we didn't know what they were. Plus we... More

The park rangers regularly lead a walk and talk guided tour for about 1/2 of the trail, giving a lot of interesting information about the grove, how/why it was so named, the Coastal Redwoods, why they are not located on the coast but a little inland, the animals found in the park, and much more. Check the website or at... More

Getting to the Lady Bird Johnson Grove takes you off the main road and up and around some hills a ways. There was a medium sized parking lot with restrooms available, there were only a couple of cars there and we didn't really see anyone around. The trail would be easy for someone who is fit. However, it does involve... More

An easy and short hiking in the redwoods forest. This route fits everybody and takes about an hour. Nice view of the high trees and a lot of places to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere.

Such an awesome place to wander through. Get there early since there really aren't that many parking spots. A trail leads you through some fantastic views. We had fun with our granddaughter going in some of the burned out trees. The hike/walk is easy. There is a map you can either use or buy with a suggested donation. We spent... More

This trail wasn't too long and was not strenuous. There is a trail guide available which is really nice to read along the way. The trail itself goes around through a redwood forest and is very beautiful! I definitely recommend this! Make sure you get there in the morning because parking fills up quickly!

What a great, quick hike! I loved the trail guide that you could borrow or buy. It was very informative! Everyone in the group enjoyed the hike, as there are so many redwoods to see on the trail. A lot of great photo opportunities! Definitely with the ride up Bald Hills Rd!

We took a Ranger led walk to the Lady Bird Johnson Grove. Super informative! Very glad we did it. We spent several days in Redwoods, and while we thoroughly enjoyed the beauty, it was super nice to have some details about what we were seeing and the history of the trees. Highly recommend the 'Ranger led' tour! The walk is... More
