We (myself and 11yr old daughter) booked a ride. We were called the day before to confirm which was nice. We got started on time. The horses were well mannered and our guide was great. She told us of the history of the park and area and we spotted some wildlife. Overall, it was a great ride and experience!

We booked a trail ride with Country Trails Riding school located in Irvine Regional park and was pleasantly surprise at the facility. The girls working at the office Alicia and Melissa was very friendly and asked us questions about our riding experience and comfort levels on horses. Our group of 10 had different levels and they pare us with horses that suite our comfort level.Next step getting on our horses( they were all in excellent shape definitely well fed and taken care off),we played follow the leader and start discovering the beautiful trails surrounding the park.We had a leader in the front and a helper in the back. The horses behaved very well and without any incident we complete our hour long trail ride we learned about certain plants even saw a snake and heard the birds and peacocks making themselves known. It was truly a very relaxing outing. After the rides we made sure our horses got some water and said goodbye to our friends. The fact that it cost $3-5 colors to enter the park is nothing when you van spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring the park.Definite a great place to visit!

Relaxing urban escape. We celebrated my 10 year old daughter's birthday with a one hour trail ride. The trail guide led us around the outskirts of Irvine Regional Park into the hills of Orange. The variety of vegetation was very beautiful and we saw deer and peacocks. Take a morning ride if you can, as there is very little shade. Our horses were well behaved and enjoyed our affection. An economical choice for a basic ride. Very satisfying and memorable experience.

Our guide made sure we're comfortable and explains riding instructions clearly. She knows a lot about wildlife in the surrounding park, and is happy to share her knowledge and history of the land. I had a wonderfully relaxing ride on their well trained horse, and would recommend it to anyone who is not afraid of bid animals.
