Even though it was still hazy and smokey we could see Hat Creek and Mt. Shasta. The fires were almost gone and the firefighters were almost home. Hopefully our beautiful valley will spring eternal and be green again soon!

Excellent view of the valley. You can see the lava flow trail in the valley, Was a hazy day but could still see Lassen Volcano.

You can see Mt Shasta to the west and Mt. Lassen to the east, along with the whole valley below you. One of the few places in the area to get cell phone reception.

Nice place to stay. Very clean 1 bedroom hotel with frig, microwave and TV with free wifi. Best of both worlds (camping and city leaving) since we were able to go hiking, fishing and sight seeing without the sleeping bag.
