Great ambiance if you want to sit, drink, converse & relax. But don't expect much from the wines- we ordered 2 flights between the two of us- the Red & Mixed; neither had any wines that were impressive, just meh. The staff was really nice, so that is a plus for them.

I visited Topa Mountain Winery on a whim while exploring Ojai. I absolutely appreciated the warm welcome I received, the scenery, the service, and DEFINITELY the wine. My favorite was the Grenache Blanc. 10/10 would recommend. The hostess was super sweet and my server, Heather, was very knowledgeable and personable as well. The music was great and they have mist machines that make sitting outside super pleasant. I will definitely be back again on my next trip to the area.

Why are all wineries not like this?! Great atmosphere. Relaxed, fun, and wonderful for families and kids. We spent 3.5 hours here with a group of 5 kids and they were fully entertained and we never felt like we were upsetting or annoying other patrons. There is a boccie ball court, corn hole, and a few other games for kids and adults to play. Live music on the afternoon we were there and a pop-up pizza stand as well. Loved it and WILL return.
BTW - their whites and rose are great (Grenache Blanc was my fav). Their reds are either too light for me or highly tannin-ed, complex, with more of a tobacco profile - not so typical of the central region. We only tasted a few, but of the reds I tried I wasn't too much of a fan. Their whites and roses (as i said above) were fantastic!

I really liked the winery itself. Nice vibe. Pretty tasting room. Nice people serving. I didn’t do a full tasting but ended up with the Syrah. Not the best. Not the worst.
Outside they had music which just added to the ambience and the experience. I would have given it more stars if I liked the wine a bit more. I will go back and do a full tasting. I would definitely go back for the music and the atmosphere. And maybe the Syrah 😉

Topa Mountain winery makes world class wine - and the tasting room is among vines in Ojai Valley - so comes with an awesome view. If you get there by 6-630 PM you get the pink moment also. Taste some wine and buy a couple of bottles of wine and you get a tasting flight for free. The wines are somewhat expensive but the quality justifies it. The rose is amazing, and so is the red blend - and both of these are reasonable in price.

We came in right when they opened one afternoon for a break from the heat. This place is gorgeous. We were greeted by the owner and we enjoyed a flight and even took a couple of bottles to go. This place is perfect for big groups or just a quick stop. The property is gorgeous and everyone was super friendly.

It is a wonderful place for my daughters baby shower. A little unusual to have it at a winery, but it was perfect. The outdoor facility along with tables and umbrellas made for a good time. The staff at the winery went above and beyond and offered to help out in any way. When the meal was done, the leftovers were placed in a walk in fridge. The wine was well received and I loved the red wine.Look forward to bringing baby girl here once she arrives!

We had a wedding welcome party for 200 at this winery. The facility and setting are great for a party, the staff did a great job serving and assisting, and the wine was good ( not great though cost likely was a consideration).

What is the price range for wine by the glass?

Topa Mountain Winery
Ojai, California
Thank you for your question! The range is $10-$14 plus tax. A flute of our Sparkling Brut is $10 plus tax, our white wines and rosé are $12 per glass plus tax, and our red wines are $14 per glass plus tax. Cheers!

We didn't have any food there. I believe not, but I am not sure. There was a nice food truck parked in the back where some from my party scored good tacos. We brought our own cheese and fruit.
Enjoy!
