About
Fine art gallery and working studio of award-winning California artist, Dan Schultz. The gallery features his landscapes, figures and portraits in oil. Southwest Art Magazine and Artists Magazine have devoted feature articles to his work, and he regularly exhibits with organizations like the California Art Club, American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America. Visitors to the gallery often comment on the strong sense of light and atmosphere in his paintings, as well as the beauty of his subtle color changes which become apparent upon closer inspection. Look for delicate color shifts, small accent touches and textural changes which are not always apparent from a distance. When Dan isn’t outdoors painting the beautiful Ojai landscape, he is usually painting in his studio area inside the gallery. Please stop and visit next time you’re in the Ojai area!

Dan is a wonderful artist, a terrific teacher and a lovely human. Take time to visit this little gem of a studio while in Ojai to see his beautiful landscapes!

One of the great ways to learn about a small town is to explore it's artists, and it's expression of life there. Drop in to drench yourself in color and texture of this unique California community. Maybe you will find a treasure for your own home

Dan Schultz ia a great painter and a generous Artist-Teacher. His Painting Video for beginning landscape paintings is really informative,easy to understand and affordable...

We had first met Dan at a plein air art festival and finally had the pleasure of visiting him at his gallery and studio a couple of years later to pick up a painting that he had painted for us. Dan is a great person and his paintings are just as great. To me, the most important aspect of landscape painting is the way that the artist captures light and atmosphere and Dan does that as well as or better than anyone. His paintings look great online, but you must see them in person to truly appreciate the light and atmosphere. A must see.

Dan Shultz is an amazing artist and he really captures the look and feel of Ojai and other areas in Ventura county. I love to look at his paintings from far off and then go in closer-totally different look! He definitely paints with a lot of soul. It's a small gallery, but he has a lot of paintings in there. It's definitely worth a stop in.

A few years ago, my wife and I went to Ojai and we ran into Dan in his shop. He is a plein air painter and we have been looking for paintings for our craftsman bungalow. He is a very nice person and very skilled. We recently just went back there to pick up another painting. Pay him a visit if you are in Ojai.

I love the painting we bought from Dan the lovely fresh vibrant color remind me of our trip to Ojai. Many of Dan's painting are landscapes but he is also a very talented portrait and figure artist. It was a treat to speak to the personable artist himself who is informative about his painting's without being pushy. Will definitely call in again next time we are in area.

By chance, I ducked my head in to the Dan Schultz Fine Art studio in Ojai to ask a question as I had spotted it on my walking rounds each morning from the Ojai Valley Inn. I was delighted to realize I was talking to the actual artist (Dan) and really enjoyed him personally showing me his work. my wife and I were in Ojai to celebrate her 50th Birthday and we keep coming back as it is one of our favorite spots in California. I really wanted to mark the occasion with a very personal gift and one of Dan's paintings of the Topatopa mountains and Orange groves struck my eye. I had actually been looking for a plein air type painting for a few years that would best represent our fondness for this area and I found it! Dan has a wonderful portfolio of work and I would recommend searching his site on line. Thank you Dan and I hope to see you in Ojai again sometime!

Delightful conversation with Dan. Beautiful paintings and the African masks were awesome. In the small town of Ojai it is easy walking distance. Ambiance as soon as you walk in the door.
