Longest wooden pier on California coast at 1941 feet, 1/3 of a mile, there is a convenience store half way out stocked floor to ceiling with fishing pole rentals, bait, tackle, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot of souvenir's stuffed into a 7X15 foot space. Ruby's 50's diner is located on the end with breakfast to burgers and a view to die for. The pier it self is open 24 hours a day 7days a week

I love our Pier. As a local I walk it almost every day! The view back at the coast when all the way out at the end is spectacular on a clear morning. I just love it every single day! Aloha

I walk the pier with several friends every Thursday. We watch the sea, we watch the fishermen, and we watch other people walking the Pier. The ocean is different and beautiful each day. The surfers are out almost evey walk. Great taking my grandkids fishing on the pier. There is a restaurant at the end of the pier. Nice place... More

This is a great place for a leisurely stroll with plenty of pauses to watch the surfers. Nice view up and down the coastline from the end of the pier. Parking is reasonably plentiful in the area but most all of it is metered. Kind of surprised and disappointed to learn that no dogs are allowed on the pier.

This pier was well maintained and was quite crowded when we visited. In addition to the local fishermen and tourists, there were also many spectators for the World Championship of Bodysurfing event. There is a snack/bait/souvenir shop on the pier, as well as restroom facilities. At the end of the pier, there is a Ruby's Diner. You will see people... More

We visit the Oceanside Pier about once per month. Usually just me and my wife, sometimes with another couple, sometimes with out-of-town guests, sometimes with our 11 year-old nephews. It never disappoints. It fits all occasions. Take a leisurely stroll to the end. Stop and watch the surfers. Check out what the fishermen are catching. Take in the gorgeous coastline... More

We sat on the pier to watch some young surfers. Eating at Ruby's is a great idea if you are going to the pier. Also underneath you rent bikes and other kind of transportation to go down the beach

The Oceanside Pier is very impressive. It is quite long and high up. The restaurant at the end is more than adequate food-wise, though not elegant, and the views are spectacular.

A trip to the end of the pier is a great experience, from ocean views, to people watching, to drinks/dining en route. Don't miss this.
