Longest wooden pier on California coast at 1941 feet, 1/3 of a mile, there is a convenience store half way out stocked floor to ceiling with fishing pole rentals, bait, tackle, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot of souvenir's stuffed into a 7X15 foot space. Ruby's 50's diner is located on the end with breakfast to burgers and a view to die for. The pier it self is open 24 hours a day 7days a week

How nice to walk along on a pier that is just that...a pier out over the beautiful ocean. With just one small shop about halfway out and then Ruby's at the end. The cool ocean breezes and the warm sun were invigorating. It was a novelty to be far out there watching the surfers as they caught the waves. We... More

Um...it's a very long pier with the typical overpriced second rate restaurant at the end. You can see the pacific ocean from the pier, but then again, you can see it from the shore, from the road, from the sidewalk and just about anywhere along the beach. Finding parking is hideous and nearly nonexistent. We preferred to just drive along... More

This pier is a must see attraction if you are staying in Oceanside! Following a walk on the pier, you can also walk the beach in either direction. Come around sunset and get great photos!

Walking out on the wood-planked pier is like a walk back in time. As you walk further out onto the pier the sound of the hustle and bustle is replaced with the sound of the waves beneath your feet. Having lived my entire life in San Diego I am very aware of how rare it is now to enjoy quiet... More

There is a nice playground structure near the pier. Our boys, 4 & 6, loved playing on the beach with their beach toys. Beach was busy but still a lot of fun. There's a nice pizza place (ZigZag) right across the street that the boys enjoyed as well.

A very solid pier and I believe the second longest pier in California . Beautiful views of the beach and town , ships going by and even an occasional whale or dolphin . Watch the people fish and there are always surfers to watch as well . Just a great way to spend some time .

This long wooden pier offers amazing views, a fun diner, license-free fishing (you can buy bait and rental gear at the mid-pier stand) and sometimes, even dolphin and whale watching.

This is a beautiful pier. A long walk with gorgeous views. Watch the local fishermen catch their dinner and the local surfers catch the perfect wave.
