Beach is pretty much gone, the lifeguard tower sits on practically the only sand left with litte space to the south of it. Get there early if you want a spot. Most of what is there gets take up by SCAL beach club guests, so...More

The bottom of the stairs (it's a good distance down those stairs) is where the park and play equipment is located. The city put up some buffers that look like brightly colored beach balls made out of concrete to keep the Strand's vehicle traffic from...More

My family has visited a few SoCal beaches and I was surprised how much I loved this beach. Not as pretty as Laguna or La Jolla but honestly, I think it's one of my favorites. It is extremely laid back with a little mini beach...More

The beach is quite nice . The surfing is pretty decent and for the most part it is safe. After sundown I'd probably head back to your hotel as I've been bothered before .

Less crowded than Harbor Beach, this is a great place to just sit on the sand and watch the surfers ride the waves. Smooth, not rocky, sand. Close to the pier and parking

This beach is on the Strand and has a grassy park and playground with restrooms beside it. Many people pitch their armadas at the park and lay on the grass. The beach has been getting more rocks of late.

This grassy park is big enough to play catch with your dog, kick a soccer ball around, or use the play equipment. It is right at the bottom of Tyson Street, where it meets The Strand.
