I wanted to take some lessons in Oceanside where they have a sales point. The surf museum gave me their phone number that I called. I had a guy that didn’t get what I wanted and hang up. I call back to explain again I wanted to surf (what this time he understood) and he said every shift where full for the day. He proposed me to schedule a lesson the day after at 10:30 ( what I agreed even if I planned something else) . The day after, nobody was at the meeting point. I called back to the same number. And the guy said he tried to call me back but he had a wrong number (no comment...) because he was not that sure I was still OK (unbelievable ...). As a compromise he proposed to come over at the meeting point within 30 minuntes if I paid in cash. After 1 hour, still nobody and no anwser to my phone call. JUST NOT SERIOUS. If you don’t want to work, just say it instead of ruining my day !

We are from San Diego, but moved away 10 years ago. We try to visit still every couple of years. This time we stayed in Carlsbad right on the beach. The kids wanted to try surfing so we signed them up at Surfin Fire. What a great camp for teens and young children. Our kids learned so much in one day and had a blast! I highly recommend Surfin Fire!

So i called ahead of time to get the scoop. I talked to a laid back surfer guy who said to just show up and sign up. We got there Sunday and signed up for the 5 day surf clinic. They averaged 10 students a day all week. they had between 3 and 5 instructors out in the water. The kids ranged from 10 to 20. Our 14 year old had the best time. He managed to get up and ride some waves. He really liked the instructors and made a couple of friends to hang out with during the week. I definitely recommend these folks
