Great Place for Sun, Fun and a Raging Bonfire!!
Jul 2019 • Family
We took the family down to the beach for a little picnic dinner and a big bonfire as the sin goes down. Easy access just be careful where you drive as you are driving on the beach. Some idiots there who have to drive there 4-wheel drive trucks through the water so they feel better and powerful. WE had a great spot right off the water and put up a fire ring and lit it up. What a great night, can't wait to do it again

Great for a beach walk and Sandollar collecting.

I walk on this beach at least once a week with the group from the five cities newcomers organization. We always meet at Fins and then head down towards pier Avenue for at least a 2 1/2 mile round-trip.

The beach is always walkable and there are plenty of opportunities to collect sand dollars and also large empty clamshells. Not sure where these clams are coming from or if these are shells from recent clams or if they are just being washed up from the old days. Some of them are quite large. The beach is patrolled by the Oceano District of California state park. there is plenty of room further down for off road explorations and camping. Great wide clean beach, enjoy .

Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive.
Oct 2018 • Family
I came here using my sister in laws 4Runner. I thought is was a 4 wheel drive but to my surprise it wasn’t. LOL. YUP! I was stuck. A great guy are to my rescue and ulled me out so I can drive off. It’s great to know they’re great people out there willing to help. I saw a few other cars stuck and fellow citizens helped them out. If you make sure you have a 4 wheel if not don’t go too far in and you should be ok...if not, there’s a Good Samaritan to help.

Gorgeous sunset
Aug 2018 • Couples
The only beach in California that you can drive your car down the coastline. Driving in the sand is taking your risk of getting stuck. But waiting for the sunset is priceless. You can see the most beautiful sunset in the state. You can use the parking beside the state ranger outpost to your right, but they don't allow overnight parking only till 11 pm.

Great outing at a beautiful beach.

Enjoy driving on the beach, wading in the surf and people watching. Be careful to not get of track as it's pretty easy to get stuck in the sand.

"Great Beach"
Feb 2018
This beach has a wide expanse of wonderful white sand and is great for walking/running on.
They have a nice ramp for people to walk down to the beach with their beach equiptment. The ramp also makes it handicapped accessable, which is a plus. There are many restaurants and shops just above the beach which also makes it a great family beach. It is a wonderful place to view the ocean. Parking is a little difficult.although there is some paid parking on the streets as well as a parking lot.It is dog friendly, but the dog mush be leashed.

This is a great beach to go to. You can drive your car right on the beach. You can also take camper's and camp on the beach, and they have Sand Dunes with dune buggy, four wheeler, and other rentals available right on the beach.
