The guides we had were amazing, they kept us all engaged and laughing! The views were spectacular! I would love to return and complete the other courses they have to offer, even repeat this course a second time!

I brought a group of obnoxious 12 year old girls for my daughters birthday. The tour guides handled them with such ease! Also, they were hilarious. They should be stand up comedies.

This was a very fun trip, great for people scared of heights but not enough adrenaline for those who think sky diving is a good time, but overall guide was great and very entertaining. Highly recommend! Groupon has great deals for this place!!
My 14 year old son and I had ziplined once before. The first time was from platforms fixed to the ground, this was our first from trees. While the zipline experience was the same, being on trees was very different. The platforms seemed incredibly tiny...More

ZIPLINE near San Francisco (Sonoma Canopy Tours?) (7 Replies)
I want to go zip lining during my stay in SFO(Hotel in Burlingame Sept 6-9), and have did some research and found Sonoma Canopy Tours. Can anyone suggest something better, opinions on this tour company? I realize it's about a 2 hr drive from San Fran. Any opinions, or better suggestions would be great ! I assume the drive there will be spectacular scenery?

There is a zip line at Justin Hermann Plaza in SF right now. But what I read indicates it's only "through summer, " which to me means Labor Day -- 9/5. I almost hesitate to ask, but may I ask why you are staying at the airport (conference, friends/family nearby)?

We are planning a trip to San Francisco for our son's birthday. He wants to walk Golden Gate bridge and see Alcatraz. Taking a zip line is also top of his list. I have read some good reviews for Sonoma Canopy Tours. While this is N, were thinking we want to go S also to Big Basin State Park instead of Muir Woods. We have 4 days. It is worth that much driving?

Walking or biking the GG bridge. Go car tours. Segway tours would all be activities in. SF. biking, hiking or Segway or scooters on Angel is!and are also things I think you would all enjoy Now redwoods. And zipline Two options. Go north to the canopy tours and then visit Armstrong redwoods that day Or go south to mount hermon for zipline and visit Henry Cowell or big basin
Sonoma/zipline (5 Replies)
My daughter was excited to zip-line in the Redwoods but we didn't realize Muir woods didn't do that and we would need to go into Sonoma. In your opinion, is it worth is to rent a car for a day and drive to Sonoma Canopy Tours and then tour around Sonoma or just hit Muir woods and see the trees and plan other things in SF? All the questions, LOL! TIA Joannah

I've never done that activity, so I can't say if it's worth it. I think going to Muir Woods is significantly closer and less time than going to Sonoma. Also, any of the wine activities in Napa/Sonoma might be kind of non-ideal for kids. How long do you have in San Francisco? I probably wouldn't take a long time to go to Sonoma if you only have a couple days in San Francisco. Even with longer, I might do Santa Cruz or something else as a day trip over going to Sonoma with kids and there are...More
