Miner Family Vineyards is a dynamic family owned winery tucked into the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation, squarely within the heart of Napa Valley. Founded in 1998 by Dave & Emily Miner along with his folks Ed & Norma, Miner is defined first and foremost by a sensational portfolio of wines, wines consistently characterized by and committed to individualistic style and uncommon quality. In only a few short years, Miner has identified, sought and secured a number of California's finest vineyard sites to produce and showcase a wide array of varietals. Each wine is crafted in a style to encapsulate the distinctive elements and the indelible fingerprints of their respective vineyards. This combination of excellent vineyard sites along with passionate and thoughtful winemaking injects the necessary components for creating profoundly joyful wines.

We took a private cave tour with Ivy. We were so impressed with the wines. The amount poured. The beautiful stemware used and the cave experience altogether made this winery really stand out to us. Absolutely beautiful inside as well.

I’ve visited many Napa Valley wineries over the years (and even overnighted at the now-defunct Silver Rose), so I have a pretty good grasp of the local standards for wines, tasting rooms, tours and such. Miner Family Winery is very good to excellent on all counts, and I was especially impressed with our wine educator/guide Brian Bock during our tour.... More

This is a high quality wine that is available. We also enjoy this wine. Syrah Stagecoah Vi eyard, Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 2012, and Oracle NapaValley 2011 are all terrific wines.

What an experience! Miner has an extraordinary Library Tasting experience in their 'Tasting Cave" where the barrels are kept. Our host Brian was the Best of the Best. He was informative, funny and took great care of our group. The AGED Cab was the best. The vineyard is beautiful. The wines were delicious, staff were friendly and kind and made... More

We loved our library tasting with Brian at Miner! It was in their wine cave. Brian is hilarious and very knowledgable. Miner is considered the new fun winery on the block of some of the most prestigious in Napa. They don't take themselves too serious and are not pretentious at all. We loved every second and the wines were fantastic.... More

We dropped by without a reservation for the wine bar tasting. I love that they encouraged us to take the wine and lounge outside on their balcony - and then go back to the bar when we were ready for the next glass. The view from the balcony is wonderful, very comfy chairs and sofas. You can go as fast... More

We have been wine club member for many years so we were excited to visit the winery! We had a great tour guide, she was easy and laid back. All of the wines we tried were great- although we had most of them at home we did get to try a few we had never had before. We learned a... More

This was the first stop as part of a 3 day trip in Napa organized by my employer. What a great choice. Wow, this place is legit. Beautiful. The good times started when we met our host, Pete. Super cool guy, by far the best one of host's out of all the winery's. The stories he told, the wine he... More

The most laid back, down to earth winery of our stay. Great 80's rock playing in the tasting room. Nice deck to to tastings as well. Ask to take the tour of the caves when you go there. All the barrels are in the caves. You really need to see them. Each taste of wine is served in a different... More
