Cultivated with passion and a singular vision, Opus One produces one ultra-premium Bordeaux blend a year. A collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Opus One arose out of passion. And beginning with the first harvest in 1979, every vintage of Opus One has expressed the vision and passionate spirit of its founders. Our goal is to create a wine of ultimate quality that reflects the traditions and innovations of both founders. Visiting the winery is by appointment only.

A very imposing sight......as you drive up the perfectly manicured drive and look out over the perfectly manicured grounds and the huge stone building array. Let's be perfectly clear here. This is not the place for Clark Griswald and family. This is the juice of...More

It's a great spot but $45 for a glass to taste is a touch rich I think. The 2011 was a nice drop but nothing amazing. Worth a visit but better tastings for the money IMO

A stunning location and a gorgeous building, but I left feeling ripped off. There were only 2 wines to 'taste', and to do so I had to pay $45 for one glass and $60 for the other. They clearly cater to the rich, not the...More
