I have ridden the SF Bay Ferry numerous times, a fun and worthwhile trip! Especially from Oakland to SF the views are fantastic, the high rises downtown are breathtaking. Views towards Oakland are worthwhile as well. The Captain 'pours on the coal" once you leave...More

This ferry has been in service for a century. It was particularly useful after the San Francisco earthquake/fire and after the Bay Bridge collapse/earthquake. Some people take it back and forth every day to feel the frigid mist and wind to wake up in the...More

I had an enjoyable afternoon trip from Jack London Square in Oakland to the Market Building in San Francisco for shopping. With more time I could have taken a short bus ride to Pier 39 to see the aquarium and visit a restaurant there. I...More

Good speedy service to SF. It was busy but there were plenty of seats inside and outside. Sails past Alcatraz so you get a good view of the island. It didn’t cost too much and was an entirely painless experience. Good alternative to the bus.

We took this ferry from Oakland to San Francisco with family visiting. It was a clean, nice, easy way to get a "tour" for $7. Great activity to get to the Embarcadero.

Took the ferry from Oakland to SF (Ferry building) to visit my nephew. If you take the ferry, you get free parking in the Jack London Square parking garage. There is a dock where the passengers line up and board. The ferry came on time...More

Skip the traffic and head on down to a port to enjoy lesser-known spectacular bay views from aboard one of the many ferries shuttling passengers across the SF Bay. Fun for everyone and a great way to visit City attractions without the hassle of Bart...More

It’s always the best choice to bring family from out of town to Fisherman’s wharf by ferry, everybody had time to relax and you bypass paying the exhorbitant parking fees. And it’s a different scenery by the water. Love it.

Search San Francisco Bay Ferry for ferry schedules. Ferries leave the Ferry Building and Pier 41 (near Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf) and go to Jack London Square. If your goal is a ferry ride, search Golden Gate Ferry. You... More
