The fairly pedestrian exterior of the cathedral hides an interior that is stunning. The interior has the voluminous proportions expected in a cathedral, but it is beautifully illuminated everywhere by the translucent walls patterned by ilts internal wood structure. The light within the building has a curious and calming quality; oh so appropriate for a house of worship. The immense... More

We popped in on Inauguration to say a prayer for the nation and Executive Branch. The building's interior are inspiring and beautiful. The light and airyness gave me a profound sense of hope. While the place was quiet, we could tell that sound travels very well within, no echo. It could be awesome to hear the organ play!

I am not a Catholic so did not attend mass here but if you are an admirer of architecture I would suggest you stop and look. At sunset the building catches the light beautifully.

Peace, tranquility, spirit refreshing. Worship, meditative prayer rooms, with heavenly sounds from the wonder specticul of the massive organ pipes with angelic vocals from the choir, Words of spiritual encouragement delivered lovingly. Care with affection from your pew neighbor. Wonderful Light.

An interesting departure from the classic cathedrals and churches of Europe or East Coast. Very interesting lighting and interior make this a worthy stroll during a lake walk. Come during the day, to make sure lighting is interesting inside.

Our daughter who lives near this church said we could walk and she had indicated to us, that it was on the corner of Harrison. Well, when we got there, we didn't see anything that resembled a church so I had asked a passer bye. She pointed out the building. It is certainly different and in my wife's view, she... More

This is one of the greatest 21st century works of architecture. You must enter the building and be amazed up stairs as well as downstairs.

A place worth to visit, to appreciate an uncommon architecture for a church. It's close to several bus route stops, so it's an easy place for a tourist to find.
