Oakland's Art Deco jewelbox with a wonderfully opulent lobby that welcomes you to what are generally more staid attractions than you might find down the way at the Fox Oakland. This place has sparkle.

Really nice historic theater. Good for shows or classic movie night. Adult beverages can be purchased during movies!

What's not to love? Great shows, home of the Oakland Symphony, and in a magnificent art deco building. The upstairs lounge and bar are not to be missed. I'm especially partial to the Movie Classics here. Best enjoyed when dressed in period attire and sipping an appropriate cocktail. Be sure to keep your ticket stub-you may have a chance at... More

Great theater - parking across the street, big screens, comfy seats, and great news flashes on the marquee. We love supporting this independently owned theater.

Went to see Prince back in February and the venue is beautiful Art Deco era building, we were seating in the upper right ( facing stage) and were able to see and hear very well. If you only want to visit the venue, they offer tours On First and 3rd Saturday of the month, check for holiday schedules. Definitely worth... More

This is the perfect symphony venue! Every time I visit, there is never a dull moment. The interior is carved, beautiful and gives one a peek into the grandness of the past. What a great experience. Hope t have many more

See Classic movies monthly at the Paramount. The price is right....$5.00. You might also win a prize during the pre-movie activities. Beautiful theater and appropriate for all depending on the movie.

Although I'd been to the Paramount Theater a number of times over the years I was there again a few weeks ago for an event and had almost forgotten what an absolute architectural gem this place is. Looking from the outside wouldn't you be able to tell what awaits you once you enter this magnificent palace from the Art Deco... More

Meticulously restored Art Deco Theater with incredible sound quality. We saw Audre Lorde, NZ sensation, Paul Simon, k.d. laing and others at this incredible theater -- small, intimate, marvelous.
