A Bit of Local History
Oct 2019
I didn't take a tour, but even midweek the place is quiet, easy to get to,, and filled with interesting bits of history, from historic buildings to old buggies, tools, etc. The place seems largely a local, volunteer effort and it's very nice just to sit on a bench and enjoy the surroundings.

Historical Place for both interest and fun
Sep 2019
We stopped off here to see what was around. We met with Chuck (the docent) who was very generous in his time. Chuck walked us around explaining where all of the equipment came from, the time period of their use, and what it took to operate/maintain everything there. Not only was it fun, but very informative. This place is perfect for both kids and interested adults. They even have time when people dress up in period costume to explain whats going on. Would I recommend it? Yes. Call ahead and take the tour. Its worth it.

Not open for business

Stopped here on a weekday afternoon as it sounded interesting. All buildings locked up and no one around. I wandered around and think this could have been quite interesting had it been open.
Even the flowers were dying for lack of water.
Would not recommend.

We stopped in in a cold rainy day an May. Two volunteers led us on a great tour of California’s history. They were both so knowledgeable of the area’s rich history. It was a fascinating experience!

Closed but still worth a stop
Nov 2018 • Couples
We stopped by in the off season and we knew it would be closed but we were able to tour the outside of the buildings and read the history as well as listen to some audio history form push buttons in the facility. Private tours can be set up in the off season but we didn't have time for that but probably a fun way to see it also.

A real gem
Jul 2018 • Family
Much to our surprise, our visit to The Fresno Flats Historic Park was not a quick walk-around looking at the old buildings, but a really in-depth look at small town life in the late 1800's. Special thanks to Miss Laura for taking the time to talk with us.

Buildings closed May 3,2018

Though we were there during the supposed open hours all buildings were closed. 2 homes had a button to push to hear a history of that building. Only took about 15 minutes to walk around the grounds and look at the different buildings. Wish it had been open.
