Considered one of the five best dinner trains in the West, the historic Sierra operates year-round from the town of Oakdale, CA (near Modesto & Stockton). Beer Trains and murder mystery shows are the most well-known trips, but we also offer the High Noon Express, detailing the history of this movie railroad, and the Old Vine Express with wine tasting! Trips take 2.5+ hours.

A trip on the Beer Train. The selection of the 4 breweries was a good mix, the band was jumping and the VIP food was OK. The ride is interesting but not overly exciting in where the train goes. It would be nice if it...More

Whether you go for a dinner train ride, the Christmas train, or any other special event, it's a good choice. Food and drink is good and you get to see scenery that you can't see from the road. Kids love it too.

I went on the dinner train a while ago for a company sponsored event and I will never do this again due to the poor service and the intoxicated servants

None appear for the Beer train. Mostly the Dinner, Mother's Day and a few others. I'll be doing the Beer Train in a week.
