A walking and parking friendly town center that has a wonderful selection of shops and variety of restaurants.restaurants. Services that meet most needs and people who will say hello with a smile. A July 4th parade that has the feel of a home town party.

We've lived within walking distance of Old Town Novato for 7 years. It's been getting better all the time...more good restaurants and shops opening. Our favorites are "Masa Sushi" serving incredibly delicious choices in a relaxed family atmosphere- we absolutely love it there! And there's "Grazie" for amazing salads and Italian pasta dishes, "Rustic Bakery" for crusty baked bread assortments... More

I love historic California. I love the old timey places you can visit throughout the state. This is not one of those places. Is it a good place to find restaurants? Sure. Would I have gone out of my way to go here if it hadn't been #1 on the list of things to do in Novato? No. I can... More

I'm not sure that "Old Town" Novato warrants a review. It would be hard to imagine one making a dedicated trip just to see it without having a specific destination in mind. It's not particularly quaint-just a collection of small shops in a burgeoning Marin County town/city. Petaluma, 12 miles north, is much ore quaint but it, technically, has no... More

Original buildings with their own unique character. Nice little shops and numerous restaurants of all cuisines. Great place for a stroll.

There are a lot of small mom and pop type businesses' in this area. You can get some exercise while window shopping and if you get hungry there are plenty of places to chose from to eat.

It's a great place to live, but there's not much for tourists to see or do in Novato. Old town has some good restaurants, a few eclectic shops, but that's about it. This is not a town for attractions. But if you are staying here, the food is good everywhere in Novato.
