I have lost count on how many years we have Lou Nese as our personal guide whenever we visited Laguna Niguel, CA. Lou has taken care of us before our 2 boys were born. Now they are 8 and 10 years old. Lou is wonderful with our boys. When we visited Disneyland, San Diego Sea World and other sites, Lou knows exactly what kids like to see and plan a perfect itinerary for the day. We just followed his lead and had fun every time. At Disneyland, he got us special passes to skip to the front of the long lines, which saved a lot of time for other fun things. My boys love him like their grandfather. He is patience, attentive and knowledgeable. All in all, I strongly recommend Lou and Have Fun Tours whenever your travel brings you to beautiful Southern California. You will have an amazing time with Lou. He is the BEST!

We had an amazing day! Lou is so knowledgeable about the area and we spent a full day going Everywhere, downtown LA, the observation area, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, The Farmer’s Market, Santa Monica Pier, and so much more! We even got to see the ceremony of William Dafoe as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Our day was so full we were running late for a dinner engagement and Lou even dropped up off at the restaurant! Lou is a gem! Take this tour you will be so happy you did!

I'm so glad you had such a good time. And to see William Dafoe receive his star was just icing on the cake! It was my pleasure to drop you at your restaurant! Come back and see me and I'll take you on new adventures! All my best, Lou

Having read a few reviews we decided to take a tour rather than to self navigate into LA and find parking etc. we were collected from the hotel and we're sharing the tour with another family.

We were taken to a couple of spots in LA: the Capitol record building - where we were able to hop out, before hopping back in to the next location. This turned out to be the Hollywood boulevard where we parked and walked a couple of blocks down the boulevard. we got good pics of the Hollywood sign for the shopping mall attached to the gourmands CHINESE theatre; the Oscar theatres, and associated Hollywood sidewalk stars - both old and new names. We also popped into the Roosevelt hotel too.

We were dropped off at farmers market for lunch, which is a mix of all kind of eateries, with share seating set out similar to market. We only had an hour, which was a little rushed given the place was unfamiliar with lots of local style eating that all our group wanted different from and everything was cooked fresh. Therefore we had limited time to view the small stalls/shops that were mixed in amongst.

After our lunch stop we had a brief look at a couple of old Hollywood homes. I would have preferred a little longer in this area, but time didn't permit. Effectively we drove around a short block to see a couple of old Hollywood star homes. I guess security prevents taking any further to see other beautiful homes. Bizarrely the mother of the other family on the tour with us lived locally when growing up, so asked for the driver to take a short detour to view her old home. Then proceeded to reminisce to her family about her times growing up in the area. Nice for them I guess.

We drove through the valet stand at the Beverley Wiltshire (I think) and saw some amazing cars parked. We made a brief stop at McDonald's for a restroom break and pick up drinks for the return trip back to the hotel.

Our driver was able to share some facts and trivia about the areas and places we visited, and offered bottled water. (Which would have benefited from ice in the cooler to chill it down a little). Overall we were on the tour about 7.5 - 8 hours, but quite a chunk of that time is spent travelling into/out of LA.

I have mixed feelings whether the trip offered value for money or not. we paid $120 each which include tax and gratuity. Lunch and drinks we bought ourselves. It was nice for everyone to be sightseeing, rather than having someone driving. Plus our driver obviously knew the area very well. We also didn't have to think about directions or find places to park. Overall we enjoyed our day, but with some planning I guess we could have spent longer at the places we wanted to see more of.

My kids never believe people actually read my reviews. So if this was helpful to you on your travels, please give me a helpful vote. It's always nice to point out that people rely on others reviews when making choices in unfamiliar locations.

This tour was amazing! Lou is first-class. He is very knowledgeable about the area, full of great stories (historical and personal) about each site/location, and very personable. It felt very much like a private tour. We did not want to drive to LA and hassle with parking, driving to each place, etc. We wanted to relax and be chauffeured around. He promptly picked us up from our hotel in Newport Beach and drove us to LA. We were so glad we picked this company. Nice vehicle with heat/ac available when needed. As the sun went down and it started to cool off, we were happy to not be in an open air vehicle. So many others looked miserable in the open air...and places we stopped they were simply driving by.

This tour allowed us to see and experience EVERYTHING we wanted to see in LA and more. He takes you to the typical tour sites, but because he's so connected and knowledgeable about the area, we were able to venture off the beaten path and see so much more. We even met Kit Hoover (she's my new best friend) and Mario Lopez from Access Hollywood.

All I can say is wow! I told him we would be back!

Concur with all the positive reviews. We were very pleased with the entire experience. Lou picked us up at our villa in Newport Beach at 8 and dropped us off shortly before 5. It was just my family of 3. The van was clean and comfortable and easy to see the sights. We definitely would not have been able to see even half the things we did on our own. He is extremely knowledgeable. It was helpful having him do the driving and navigate the LA traffic. That by itself is worth the price of the tour. He even took us to a park in Corona del Mar and showed us where to see a great sunset when I asked where to go. He took photos on his iPhone and sent them to us, providing us with photos of all of us. My only concern was the fact that he took phone calls while we were driving. I understand it is his business, but I would have preferred he let the calls go to voice mail and return them later. Especially while we were driving on the highway. Thanks for a great day!!

Had booked a tour of LA & Hollywood online going by the reviews and we weren't disappointed, Lou picked us up promptly in his beautiful Cadillac Escalade and we were the only 2 on the tour that day meaning we had Lou's undivided attention. Great for us but not sure if Lou felt the same afterwards!! lol. A great way to see LA and sites we had only seen on tv before. Lou even got us on the set of Extras and on US tv that evening. We had such a great time with Lou that we booked a tour the same day to do the boat trip around Newport Beach Harbour.

The boat trip was another great experience and such a lovely way to spend the afternoon and see the beautiful area.

Thank you Lou from Diane & Pauline from Scotland

My wife and I were visiting Newport Beach and decided to take a tour of Hollywood. Since we didn’t feel like renting a car and venturing out on our own, we looked into tours for the area. I called the week before and spoke with Lou who was extremely helpful in answering our questions and a genuinely nice and friendly man. Lou was even kind enough to pick us up at our hotel and return us to the hotel after the tour was over. We enjoyed eating lunch at the farmers market, definitely something to see. Food was reasonably priced and good portions. Lou is extremely informative and took lots of pictures for us. The other couples who were in the luxury air-conditioned large van were a pleasant group to travel with. Make sure you block off enough time as this tour takes most of the day. Fortunately we didn’t have anything else going on later that day so we enjoyed it tremendously. You definitely could not beat the price for the time spent. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get a good overview of Hollywood and Beverly Hills, but doesn’t want to deal with the headache of driving. Thank you Lou for a great day!

Have Fun Tours was recommended to us by the concierge at Marriott Newport Villas and Lou picked us up at our villa promptly at 8 am. There were just 6 in our tour group which was a nice small group size. Lou was very personable and informative throughout the tour of downtown LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, pointing out and stopping at different locations that we would not have known about if we had gone on our own. We walked the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater with the hand and foot prints and through the Dolby Theater area with a great view of the Hollywood sign. Also stopped for lunch at the Farmers Market. We went to the Santa Monica pier and to Venice Beach also. We would have gone to the taping of Extra with Mario Lopez but their taping schedule changed because of the Emmys so we were not able to go. Lou customizes the tour for what the group would like to see. I would go on another tour with Have Fun Tours if I go visit the area again - maybe the wine tour which sounded fun too! The tour was a full day and worth it! Great day!

We had a fabulous day in LA with Lou as are tour guide. Lou was prompt in the morning, picking us up at your Newport Beach hotel and personalized the 8 hour tour to our interests. My teenage son, wanted to see any thing sports related. And we did,
including the perfect place to pick up a LJ Jersey.
The day was more then I would have ever guessed, with pictures of me and my son to remember (which Lou helped out and took many of them). This was a great way to end our vacation. I will be sending my New York friends to him. Thanks so much Lou.
