It's safe, easy and fun! Pilots 16 and over can fly solo and our ALL-NEW Tandem Jetpack allows co-pilots as young as 5 to strap in with an instructor to experience the wonders of jet pack flight! The jet pack flight was my first time ever doing anything like that and I am glad my friend, Neil, convinced me to try it. My teenage daughter came with me and was the first to "fly". She had a BLAST! The instructors told her what to do very clearly which allowed her to learn very quickly. Within minutes, she was 10 feet in the air screaming in delight. Her flight lesson was 20 minutes long and well over half the time she was either flying 10-12 feet in the air or "submarining" under the water before taking off again.
It took me a little longer to catch on and at first I was not comfortable with the instructor providing the power that comes out of the 30-pound jet pack on your back. But the instructor and the "lifeguard" who is there to ensure your safety were both very encouraging and motivated me to keep working at it. The effort paid off and once I more fully appreciated how sensitive your steering controls are, I was airborne. It was both scary and thrilling at the same time.
If you are seeking adventure and want to try something totally different and exciting, sign up with these guys. You will be glad you did!
The only reason for not giving them a perfect score is that we had to wait an hour longer than scheduled for our flight. Other than that, the staff was great, very personable, and made you feel very safe in an activity that may scare some people away.

We apologize about the about the delay in our schedule that pushed your flight back, but I am glad to know you and your daughter still had a great experience. What a great Father-daughter trip!
The first 5-10 minutes can be difficult, but it is amazing how fast you can actually progress once you get the hang of it. I am happy you stuck with it. I have experienced jet pack flying before and decided to make it a family event. All 3 children (22-27) and son-in law (27) and me (57) took to the sky on a beautiful Memorial Day in Newport. Staff was SUPER accommodating to schedule us all together and very helpful with instructions. Everyone had a unforgettable experience . This is a MUST DO in Newport Beach!

John, thanks as always for the support and feedback! We're going to miss you when you make the move to Palau, but we're also just a little jealous.
Hopefully we got some of the fam addicted to jetpacking, so they can carry on the jetpacking tradition. Thanks again!

My husband and I had a great time here. We did the 25 min flight which was plenty for a first time. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was quite an experience. I would definitely recommend this.

Bad experience. The jet packing professionals were friendly but overall this was a bad experience. Paying a lot of money to end up cut up and bruised, and sore for the next few days. The videos are misleading- most aren't able to successfully jet pack in the air the first time

Thank you for giving us some feedback on your recent flight experience. I apologize that it did not meet your expectations. Our main goal is to provide our customers with a fun and amazing experience that cannot be compared to any other activity.
I am sorry to hear that you were cut up and bruised from the jetpack. Do you remember what caused that to happen? Although there are inherent risks with any water sport including the jetpack, being cut and bruised is not normal for our customers.
The training video is not meant to be misleading, but to demonstrate how to successfully fly the jetpack and avoid common mistakes. With our training process and techniques, over 95% of our first time customers will actually successfully fly. It will generally take 5-10 minutes to get the hang of it, but it does vary from person to person. The difficulty you experienced is typical for almost everyone, but once you make it over that initial learning curve it becomes much easier. Just like learning to ride a bike! We have had a handful of customers that failed their first time, but successfully flew their second time.
I will be reaching out to you via email to learn more about your negative experience. I am confident that if you decide to try it again that we can change your opinion about jetpacking. Again, I apologize that you had a negative experience. We hope to see you again soon.

Thank you Jetpack I had a blast yesterday!!! staff was awesome the three fellas on the boat had me in stitches I laughed the entire time they were so great at instructing me to get up in the air👏🏼👍🏻✌🏻️ I can't wait to come back (end of July) with my son he's going to love this 💪🏻

My son loved flying high! Everything was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was easy to find, and free parking is a plus. We will be back!

I recently had a jet pack experience with jet pack America and it was awesome. The staff was helpful getting me in a last minute appointment for my birthday. When I arrived at the office they knew me by name at the door ready for my appointment to get started. When I got in the jet pack my guide through the experience was named James and was really helpful. Took about 5 mins to get the hang of the jet pack and soon enough I was able to do tricks and fly right.
My only reccomendation for anyone considering this is if you can afford it do at least 25 mins session due to it does take time to learn the basic.
But overall. I had a great experience and wonderful birthday thank you Jet Pack America

You are correct in saying the 25 minute package is the best deal. The jetpack does take a few minutes to get the hang of, so the more time the easier it becomes.

The staff was great. No complaints. It's just the City of Newport (City Council) and the homeowners are just too annoying. The operation can't operate where they want. Why, the Council. The operation has to move all the time. Why, the home owners. People who buy and then want things their way, thinking life will not change and whatever.
In any event, we had a good time overall. Not as easy as it may look, but then nothing worthwhile is. Waiting for flyboards and hoverboards now!!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review! We are constantly changing our process in lieu of the city council's regulations. However, this just proves how versatile our operation is, and how dedicated we are to proving the ultimate customer experience.
We do offer jetblade flights in our San Diego and Vegas locations. Newport Beach is coming soon!

We new to the location, everyone was nice. Search groupon or living social to get half off. They will video your flight, which we negotiated the price down. My kids loved it and even watching was fun. I would recommend the place and if you like them on FB I think they give you something off.

We have photo and video packages ranging from $39 to $149, which you can see on our website. One cool thing about our video packages is the fact that we post your video on YouTube and if you get 200 or more views of the video from sharing with friends and family, you earn a free 20 minute return flight (a $149 value).
