Balboa fun zone only offers 4 rides. All are for younger children (kids over 8 won't enjoy) and are way overpriced ($5-$10)

I grew up going to the Balboa Fun Zone. With so many things to do and see it's a great place to take the family for some fun. They have a Ferris wheel, bumper cars and a really fast carousel. You can rent boats of all kinds to go out on the bay. The arcades are fun and the food... More

First of all, it's not the most fun place on the Southern California coast, but it is a nice place to walk around. The amusement activities are kind of elementary with a small ferris wheel and bungee jump, but it's mostly aimed at kids. More interesting is this place is good for getting on the water where you can go... More

Not as many ride as Santa Monica Pier but there are enough activities and restaurants to have fun. And unlike Santa Monica Pier, you can rent a boat or try out paddle boat. Great way to take a break from the beach across the street.

Sure it isn't Disneyland, but there is a Ferris wheel, 2 lift rides, a bungi jump, and a couple of fake palm trees to climb with safety harnesses for the kids.

The Fun Zone on Balboa Peninsula has been there for decades and there are constant reports it's going to be torn down, but it persists. It's a bit 'shlocky' with a Ferris wheel, trampoline jump thing for kids, electronic games, and t-shirt shops. You can buy tickets to cruise the bay and hear where famous people used to live, or... Great spot for families with young children. There is also an arcade here which has a pressed penny machine - my own particular vice as I collect them.

This is a great place to have fun. It sits right on Newport Bay. A Ferris wheel and other rides. Plenty of food, clothing shops and souvenirs.

Our 5 year old granddaughter loved it here.Just enough rides to break up the day for her doing something she enjoys whilst we admired the incredible views.Reasonable prices and wristbands can be bought.Happy staff.

This is a fun "must do!" Especially when staying on the island. It is located on the Balboa Peninsula, a short Ferry ride directly across from Balboa Island. The ferry ride makes this more of an adventure for everyone! Saying that, kids 4-12 will probably be the most entertained. There are two arcades - the vintage Bay Arcade and the... More
