Everyone I ever speak with about PHGC raves about it. After playing the South course, I must say I'm underwhelmed. The clubhouse and locker rooms are very nice, but the course was just ok. Layout aside, it was in the worst condition of any course I've played with green fees above $200. Would not pay the asking price to play... More

In the last year, I have golfed at Torrey Pines, Pebble Beach, and Cypress Point. I would put Pelican Hill on that same list. The South Course is one of the great experiences of my golfing life. Ocean views from 16 holes. Challenging carries and greens. In great shape and exceptional service. This course has it all. Golf it, and... More

This was simply an amazing experience, and one of the best courses I've ever played. I've been to some beautiful courses that were simply too difficult to play. Not the case for his course. The views are amazing. The layout is creative but not so elaborate that you end up in sand or water every other shot. There are several... More

One of the best west coat golf courses I have played. The greens where true and the views where awesome. The Ocean course has the best greens and fairways. If you get the chance to play here GO..... You will not be disappointed. Jerry Ehrlich from the great City of Philadelphia

I played the South Course yesterday. I think this course is the nicest public course in all of LA/OC. I would probably say this even if half the holes didn't have a gorgeous view of the ocean. All the holes were different and beautiful with enough challenges (few holes where you have to carry a ravine or water to reach... More

This is a beautiful track and the Ocean Course is very challenging. Expect tremendous vistas and uneven lies; the ball is either below your feet or above your feet. It provides for very challenging second shots even if your sitting in the middle of the fairway.

I had people tell me about this course. It was a bit expensive for me, as I do not usually spend $300+ on a round of golf, but oh my good was it totally worth playing here. The course was in great condition, there was a cool breeze from the ocean the entire round. We played the South Course and... More
