- Mark KPhoenix, Arizona101 contributionsGreat variety of restaurants and shopsWe were fortunate to book a room in a hotel within walking distance of the Oxbow Public Market, as it was an ideal place to go for our weekend trip needs. The restaurants and cafes there are great (I recommend Kitchen Door in particular), and they have all sorts of shops where you can pick up food and beverages (including wine of course) for trips out in the Napa Valley region. They even have a neat little bookstall if you’re looking for something to occupy the time between visits to the area’s wineries. I highly recommend it as a one-stop destination for your Napa getaway needs!Visited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten March 2, 2020
- Mark RClackmannanshire, United Kingdom52 contributionsFood lovers heavenLocal foodstuff and drinks abound. Many individual “market-type stalls” inside a larger enclosed warehouse: Choices from steaks to sushi to pizza and ice cream and coffee and wines and beers. Thoroughly recommended for a bite to eat - Live Fire Pizza and Five Dot Ranch were our lunch choices for a family of 4. Also a place to buy Olive oil, herbs and spices, and cheeses. You leave a little tighter in the waistband...Visited March 2020Traveled with familyWritten March 10, 2020
- brmusicmanChicago, Illinois3,050 contributionsNice variety of vendors; good for a group mealOxbow Market, in downtown Napa, is worth your time when in the area. It’s a nice place to go when in the area with a group, because the group can spread out among the various vendors offering meals and pick whatever they’d like, then come back together at a table for dinner. The restaurants within are serving a large variety of food: there’s a Hog Island Oyster Bar, a Spanish restaurant, some seafood/sushi places, etc. There’s also a nice wine bar and vendors selling homewares, vegetables, books, etc.; some of the non-food oriented vendors close earlier than the restaurants. We had a nice time exploring the market, and everyone enjoyed their food and trying what each person had purchased.Visited September 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten October 20, 2021
- pfefmeisterSan Francisco, California2,918 contributionsGood ConceptWe’ve been to Public Markets all over the world, and the concept is good. The Oxbow one is just too pricey and crowded for me. People were walking around with food trying to a place to sit and eat - seems they crammed as many vendors as they could into the building. Still, you have a good selection of food, and it is interesting to walk around. Plenty of parking, and maybe 3-4 block walk to downtown.Visited March 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten March 14, 2020
- Melanie TNew York City, New York4,519 contributionsNot many food optionsI love going to markets because that means I can try a lot of different foods that that particular city has to offer. We did visit Oxbow after a big lunch so we weren't planning to eat there, but that wasn't a big issue since it didn't seem like there were a lot of different food offerings anyway. It was mostly wine, cheese, and souvenir shops. We did get to try Hog Island Oysters, and I would have loved to try the brewery too if we weren't stuffed. So if you have time to kill, come to Oxbow. Otherwise, don't go out of your way. Tip - there is a (paid?) parking lot but it looked pretty full for a Friday afternoon.Visited May 2021Traveled with friendsWritten June 2, 2021

- Cris BRio Rancho, New Mexico13 contributionsGreat first stop in downtown NapaStopped at Oxbow on our first day and overall it was a good experience. There are a lot of options and great food selections. I would recommend going early. We stopped by around 1:30 pm and it was packed so you couldn’t really take your time to look around. It’s a great first stop when visiting downtown Napa.Visited June 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten June 22, 2022
- Greg PSalt Lake City, Utah52 contributionsNice market (but small) with several good restaurant optionsThis is a nice market but it’s not very big and unless you plan to eat at one of the restaurants you won’t need too much time to see and shop there. We were expecting a much bigger market with more shops and vendors (for example something more like the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia). We browsed the entire market in about 20 minutes. There were a number of restaurants that looked good and we did eat the the Gott Roadside restaurant which was tasty. I wouldn’t dissuade anyone from visiting, especially if you plan to eat lunch while you’re at the market, but know that shopping the market won’t take long if you have this on your list of “must do’s” while you’re visiting Napa.Visited September 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten September 9, 2022

We went early in the morning so it was not crowded. Lots of parking. Took like half an hour to look around and then we ate at C Casa and it was delicious.Visited July 2022Written February 22, 2023

But if you’re looking for a bite to eat with lots of different local options it’s the place to go! We got a charcuterie board from Oxbow Wine and Cheese which was a great value for the price. We stopped for a cupcake and did a tasting at the distillery as well. Great stop in the mid afternoon to try market goods from local vendors.Visited May 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten May 22, 2021

It's not a bad idea for lunch when you have multiple people in your group and you just want to eat quick and you all have different tastes. It's just very loud and not a lot of space to sit and it's very crowded it's just ok I have been several times and would still come again. it's hard to gauge lunchtime on a day of wine tasting so lunch time reservations is hard so quick nd at the Oxbow is usually how I roll.

Oxbow Market is the perfect place to go when everyone wants to eat something different and you also need to do some grocery shopping. On this visit we landed on bagel sandwiches and latkes from Loveski. There's quite a variety of prepared foods, ingredients, and gift items all under one roof. The items you will find here are not ones you will find in a typical grocery store chain.

This is a rather trendy indoor food hall and shopping area located at a bow curve along the Napa River. The interior is made up of individual shops of which several are satellites of larger entities located elsewhere in the Bay Area. Casual atmosphere. Coffee, tacos, pizza, oysters, baked goods, wine, and milk shakes all available. But not much in the way of fresh fruits and vegetables. This marketplace can make for a good lunch stop while you tour the valley's wineries. Parking across the way.

Hi. How many seats are available in the public seating areas at Oxbow Market? I want to bring a group of 15 for lunch but not sure if we'll find a place to sit. Please advise. Thank you!

The seating is first come first served...there are not usually huge groups, however, you are free to eat out on the patio by the river and pull tables together.
