Looking for something different? This winery has it. Winemaker Jason Holman searches out less known varietals to make some truly amazing wines. If available the Pet Nat is an incredible sparkler. His cousin John normally leads the tasting, and is very informative and entertaining. They host a couple other wine labels at the winery that are equally unique and tasty. They are very soon moving to a new larger location in downtown Napa. Do yourself a favor and check out Holman Cellars you will not be disappointed. The last 3 friends I've taken there became members on the spot.

If you are looking for unique, exquisite wines in Napa, look no further than Holman Cellars. Yes, it is located in an industrial park, but you will forget this once inside. The three principals were welcoming, generous and passionate about their wines. An enormous amount of knowledge, thought and creativity goes into each wine, and it shows. If you love good wine that surpasses the ordinary, do not miss Holman Cellars while in Napa.

This was our favorite stop of the day during our trip to Napa. Great conversation and learned a lot about how they make their wine. Also had a fantastic spread for us - defintiely an intimate and educational stop that surpassed the others!

If you're looking for an intimate experience with the winemaker, I highly recommend that you go here. Our tasting and tour was not only highly educational, but delicious as well. We thoroughly enjoyed Jason and his passion for the business. We just received our shipment of wine and just opened a bottle. Just as delicious as I remember.

Tucked back in an industrial area, this was an unexpected delight. John and Jason's sheer joy in making wine is infectious. It is nice to see such a commitment to small batch production combined with the freedom to experiment. The tour walked us through all the stages of wine making, indeed their knowledge of lesser known varietals is impressive. And their wine is so very, very good. So nice to have something different (100 % Petit Verdot). I look forward to our first wine club shipment of artisanal "warehouse" wine.

Holman Cellars is a small personal winery started by 3 guys, a few years ago. John gave us our tour, just my husband and I. He was amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable and very passionate. I think we tried 7 or 8 wines, both red and white. We happened to be there at the right time and were able to help with some of the wine making process! I LOVED IT! Don't let the location through you off. Its a must go winery. When we go back the Napa, we will be back.

While moving my daughter to California for law school we decided to take some time for sightseeing between furniture shopping trips. Holman Cellars intrigued us because it is a smaller winery. We weren't disappointed. Our tasting was led by John, co-owner with his brother. This man has a passion for what he does! We learned so much and tastes some delicious wines. Although located in an industrial park don't let that fool you...this is a stop not to be missed.

Holman Cellars can only be described in one word: passion. These makers are passionate about their craft, evident in their tasteful wines and engaging wine tour. I visited with my boyfriend in February and we enjoyed the intimate, one-on-one setting paired with a true 100% petite verdot and savory charcuterie board. My father and his fiance visited a month later. The gentlemen over at Holman Cellars were amazing and surprised them with an engagement celebratory cake!

I can't recommend this place enough!

Don't let the term warehouse winery scare you away. Yes it is in a warehouse, but the experience and wines were out of this world! You could see and hear the passion from Jason, John and Kevin. Jason started this winery not too long ago and has built it from the ground up and doing it his way with different ideas that produce amazing but different wines than you will find in much of the rest of the valley. John went from production work to leading us through the tasting and tour which was very engaging and informative. They also let us taste a Merlot they just pressed which was great. This was the only winery we visited that both my wife and I liked every wine we tasted. We will be long term wine club members! Thanks John, Jason and Kevin!!

Yes, this is not your typical winery visit but your visit is well worth it. Jason, John and Kevin make you feel at home, they are friendly and very knowledgable about wine. Absolutely loved my wine tasting experience at Holman Cellars.
